I installed MyAnime2 yesterday. What names should episodes have. Is it like MyTVSeries that they must have the Season Tag fe. 1x01 and in the folder which is called like the Series fe. DearS or must the name the series appear in every file?

I ask because everytime I started the plugin and wanted to run the import, MP crashed...

"My anime 2 hashs your anime to indentify what episode a file is. This has a number of advantages. It guarantees that the files are 100% complete and are not corrupted. It also allows the plugin (and you) to tell exactly which encode group released this episode. The main advantage tho would be that there is no chance of My Anime 2 making a wrong selection at what episode a file is. It will always be 100% correct. This means you wont have to go through and spend potential hours fixing up mistakes that name based detection could cause.

After identifying which episodes your files are, the plugin will download all the info for the associated animes you have. You wont have to tell it a thing. You will suddenly be able to see what episodes you have, what episodes you need, all the anime you have, what genres the anime are in, what anime your anime are related too, what awards the anime have won, the community rating for the anime, the description for the anime, the different names the anime are called, etc... As a little extra, you can also see all this information for anime you dont even own. There is even a calendar that shows what anime are coming out in the coming months and when your anime came out, very handy for watching out for new shows. "

i dont know why it crashes but with out log files neither will anyone

    Hi,

I just noticed a strange problem.
If I want to manually associate some files it dosn't really work in the filemanager screen.
I select the file -> search for the correct series/episode -> click save -> Anime episode ID appears -> click save in the mainscreen and the number disappears and nothing happend. After refreshing the list the file is still listed, the Association is not stored.

The only working way is via the manager screen and in MP. There its working without problems.

I also tried with a blank DB, there is the same problem...

    Here are some screenshots

After clicking save and refresh list:

Besides that, I don't have any problems and I noticed the problem so late because I now have a bunch of new files.

Win x64, MP 1.1.1, latest Plugin Version

there's also a bug with the latest version in regards to hashing and downloading art
The hasher is no longer always accurate, for example there are around 30 files that it refuses to hash properly so they sit in the unrecognised files list but when manually hashing them through anidb they are recognised straight away. I tried many times to get them to rehash correctly etc even to the point of deleting the db and starting again but no joy.

Second bug is when selecting what art to download, when selecting what art to download, the art for the anime you were hovering before going into utility will show in the art list as well

I'm having a problem with it not picking up a lot of my series and ovas/movies. It mostly just puts them in the unrecognised files section.

Where have you got your series from? If you have ripped them yourself they wont be recognised. It scans each episodes hash and then compares it with anidb to find out about that file. If your files don't match then either the file hasn't been done by a recognised group or its corrupt.

Has anyone tried this plugin with the new alpha?

I've got a problem with a certain series - Chi's Sweet Home. The files are recognized correctly, but they don't show up in the episodes listing of MediaPortal. Could it be a problem with the '?

Also I don't know how to hide watched episodes. Although many from my lists are marked as watched in anidb, the plugin doesn't seem to recognize any of them as such.

    Thanks for your help!

    SQLite out of memory exception

I'm having problems with the series One Piece. It seems like the plugin is trying to grab so much data that SQLite actually runs out of memory when trying to get the episode data.

I first noticed a problem when one of the new episodes I downloaded failed to show up after an import. Then I noticed in the plugin configuration that the One Piece group was just generally messed up (missing all the episodes). I tried to re-import all the episodes from the configuration screen, but the screen just hangs and I get a SQLite out of memory exception (see attached log). Also, I notice configuration.exe climbing to rather high memory usage, about 1.7GB. I guess there is a limit somewhere to how much memory SQLite consumes because my machine has 4GB RAM and there is still over 1GB available according to Task Manager.

I am attaching 2 logs, the BAK, which is when I ran the import episodes the first time. The LOG is when I tried it again.

Any way we can increase the amount of memory SQLite can use until a fix comes out?

    Thanks!
