As long as it finds it's way to MP to I'm happy to wait ;) - the only thing I'm afraid of is that you like the stand alone that much MP get's lost in translaition ...

Well a lot of the functionality that you see in the Config of MA2 will no longer be available there.
Instead those features will be in JMM Client, and usually an improved version of them.

So MA3 will concentrate on playback of anime on a HTPC (with all the other stuff that MA2 has). While JMM Client will be needed to manage the finer details of your collection

I experienced a strange problem... After watching the latest episode of Fairy Tail using MyAnime2, every movie I tried to watch afterwards resulted in a black screen.
I had to restart MediaPortal in order to get it to work.

Which version of MP/MA2 are you using?

craige volunteered to do this skin, so I am not sure where he is at with it.

Is it possible for Myanime to have a shared database? I would like my storage PC to manage and store the anime database and the HTPC just to read it off the network and not be adding to it. I tried sharing the database directory and having the HTPC access it but that didn't work.

What you need is JMM and MyAnime3, but they are not released yet.

It is still a work in progress, but you can find out more information here

Is version 3 targeted for a release next year? Will My Anime 2 receive any more updates or has all development shifted to 3?

MA3 should see a beta release some time this year I would think. Hopefully a full release early next year.

Yes I have shifted all my effort to MA3 / JMM

Can anybody give me a hint how to copy my My Anime 2 Database and Configuration from one HTPC to another?
Both HTPC's running Windows 7, MP 1.2.1 and My Anime 2.6.1.

Both HTPC's running Windows 7, MP 1.2.1 and My Anime 2.6.1.

1. Copy the database
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database\AnimeDatabaseV20.db3

2. Copy config settings
Open this file
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.xml

Copy the whole section from one PC to another
<section name="Anime2">

3. Optionally copy your posters/fanart etc so you don't have to download them again
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\AnimeThumbs

This assumes that you are also copying your anime collection from one PC to another with exactly the same folder structure.

Hello lwerndly!

I was thinking, maybe this thread should be moved to the 'Maintained Plugins' section of the forum. Also, I wouldn't mind helping to figure out what it would take for the plugin to be listed on the website. (when i can find the damn time hehe)

Despite how hard this thread is to find, people still find it.
