First of all, in the basic home configurator, which myanime2 do I pick? There are like 10 and all of them seem to do more or less the same but not quite what I want. Basically what I want is to be able to pick my own background for streamedmp when I go to the anime menu. Then when I enter, I want the fanart backgrounds depending on which series I select. Just like movingpictures and tvseries do that.

However I just can't get it to work. I have no clue at all how to configure this thing as there is zero usefull documentation available. I selected it to automatically use series info when available, download fanart etc. All the boxes are checked under online db. However, no fanart backgrops. It does have that 3d tv thing though. But that file is impossible to find...

As pur_burger said you should select "Anime2_Main.xml"
Once you are within the plugin itself, the basic home editor and fanart handler have no bearing on fanart.

Can you check that you actually have fanart images available.
If you are on Windows7, it will be in the following folder.
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\AnimeThumbs\TvDB\fanart

If there is nothing there, you can try doing a "Run Import" to get the images again.
Alternatively you can send me you config file and/or database and I will take a look for any issues.

Is there a chance that the StreamdMP Skin has a little bug - since a while I'm missing the umknown epsiodesin teh utilities view. Only the series name are visible but that menue stretches from left to right completely (clear what I mean?)

Could you post a screenshot?

So im trying to login from the pugin config window.
Upon clicking the test loggin button get the following

The 0.0.0.0 address is fine. It just means that it tries to bind to all local addresses.
Sometimes AniDB can be down and not respond.
Is this your first time using the plugin?
You may need to allow the incoming ports through your firewall (4555)
Or you can try changing the local port.

If none of this works you could try using a different UDP client to see if it's a problem with just MA2.

Yes as plasibo said you should be able to navigate to the "Unlinked Files" button and click on that.
I have separated the two lists to give a bit more room

Also I will shortly be PM'ing with you some details of a test program, if you wouldn't mind try that.

    Thanks

Hello, I've installed the latest myanime2 and setup the anidb account/ info in the config.
When I try to import my shows it will create the folder list and hash all the tv shows but not a single one out of about 1200 episodes to lnik to the show.
Is there a step im missing?

I think anidb updating is broken the last few days. There were some server problems in anidb and there is an announcement about internal routing broken, I don't know if these are related.
For example when I am in the anime2 config in the series manager and press the "download eps" link I get a "no episodes found on Anidb" message. The same happens for all series.
So episodes for series already added are updated but new series information are not downloaded. I also see "500 internal server errors" in the logs.

    Devs,

Any idea why I'm getting a login failure on one computer, but it works on another? This is the message I get when I run the Test Login on the problematic computer:

    Code:
    Binding to local port........
Bound to local address: 192.168.1.6:4555 - Port: 4555 (InterNetwork)
    Binding to remote port...
    Bound to remote address: 50.30.46.102 : 9000
    Logging in...
    Login failure: LoginFailed

On a different computer, I can log on just fine. I am using the exact same AniDB account.

This is what's on the MyAnime2 log:

Edit: Now I'm thinking it might be due to the PC it's installed on. I tried using a different account and I'm still getting that login failure message.

This is what's on the MyAnime2 log:

Are you able to get the full log?
It seems to be missing the part where it actually tries to log in.
Also it looks like you are using a "Preferred IP Address"?
Can you try disabling this as well.

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply.

I removed the Preferred IP address. This is the entire log file:

This is the entire log file from opening the MediaPortal Configuration, going to My Anime 2, running the connection test, closing the My Anime 2 config window, and pressing the OK button on the MP config window.

I'll try running an import from within MediaPortal itself. Maybe that will generate the log output that you need.
