The only think I can think of for now is that the genres weren't retrieved correctly. Can you try updating the AniDB info manually for one of the missing series? (series menu -> databases -> AniDB -> update series info from AniDB).

Didn't work, but when I switched to comedy it added one series, now I've got 2 series which are in comedy.

I've got also some problems with updating info from Anidb. I can only do 1-3 update for each series then I have to restart MediaPortal.

I've been playing around with 2.0.15.0 official for a few days and noticed a few issues.

    1. Keyboard/remote input can get completely eaten after playing with the F9 popup menus extensively. I've noticed this mostly when I'm trying to associate series with TVDB using a manual search (more on this in #2). If I do this for a few series, more likely than not, I lose keyboard/remote input. I've also noticed this after an unexpected system error occurred (more on this in #3 that created a Windows popup message. After I clicked OK on the Windows error, I lost keyboard/remote input. The funny thing is that not every key is lost. On the remote (Harmony 880 programmed as MCE), I can still use certain keys such as page up/page down, and previous, but the directional arrows are gone, the OK button is gone, as are pretty much all the keys of the alphabet on the keyboard. The mouse still works just fine though.

Thank you for confirming my sanity!!!!!!

I thought i was going mental, all of a sudden i could no longer control MP, thought it was something else, been fiddling around with all sorts, was about to re-install XP, when i realised that this plugin was the last thing i changed, disabled the plugin and pow!!! everything works again.

I can provide logs if it will help, but i don't think there are any specific errors.

Is anyone else getting login failed from AniDB? When I run an import, I see the error "OTHER: LoginFailed:" under AniDB queue in the utility screen. I've double checked my username and password and it should be correct. The Anime2 log files show nothing about the error.

EDIT: nm, waited an hour and just started working again.

AnimeDB is having here some quite lengthly time-outs if you disconnect not properly
In case what also helps to overcome the "Login Failed" is to change your IP address.

And maybe some new layouts(wide banner list)?

    How can i empty database?
Inside GUI i click "clean database" but nothing happens.

You can delete the database file manually - AnimeDatabaseV20.db3

Why don't exist the option to empty database, like exist in TVSeries?
I think it easy to do and it helps some people.
    That's only a idea.

It would make the interface unnecessarily complicated (and dangerous): it's a function which would be nearly never used. Those who really want to clear their database can do it by deleting the file manually.

Note that the 'clear database' function looks for inconsistencies in the database and tries to resolve them. This function shouldn't really be necessary, it was just added to resolve some problems quite a few people had in the beginning (like when MediaPortal crashed during an import).

I like this function - because in my folderstructure (on the Storage) I have one "Old", "New" and an "Ongoing" - otherwise it would be impossible to maintain series currently running and series not watched now - when one is finished I move it over - and after the rescan it is doubled in the Database - with the CleapUp it removes the old entries ... and keeps everything up to date ...

This way - meanwhile - I also have seen te benefit of doing the import and cleanup over the gui - when the setup is upo and running there is little chance you need to go to the configuration to do manaul adjustments - but what I'm missing in the gui is the option to group sereis lke you can do it in the config - I had one three or four times the issue that when looking for a series over the T9 suddenly I came across a prequel I had totally forgotten about - also as very often the names are not consistant (for example wolf and spice) - well - if there would be an option to group series realted atomatically (can the prequel - sequel option maybe used for this ...?

Hm - and - maybe an option to get an info when a new sequel is availible you don't have?

    Best Regards
