wow - this plugin is becoming awsome :). One question: What happend to the "Last Watched" option? I can't see it in the Issue Log - is this still an option or did you drop this idea?

Regards

Markus

It's still on the tracker: see issue #5.

I was planning to implement that (and actually started) but started on a few other things, and forgot about it ... sorry about that. I have resumed working on it though, it should be included in one of the next releases.

Just to let you know that it's still very buggy with the latest Monochrome. I've looked at the xml and almost all of the image files are not there or have different names actually. Take a look at the list, the focus bar is not there. The user wouldn't know which series is being selected. :(

Here is a quick fix for the Monochrome 3.0 beta skin.

All I did was open the anime2 xml files, did a search for tvseries and updated the image location to the correct one.

Didn't do a lot of testing but it should work fine.

(Did replace the the hover image to the anime character instead of the television screen with anime in it, it just fits the overall look for monochrome 3.0 better. the rest is untouched)

How can I change the color of watched items/series?

One thing, there is a bug I guess, after I installed the new version, mediaportal closes itself sometimes.

The only way to change the color of watched items is editing the xml. In case of Monochrome you can add
Code:
<playedColor>#watched.color</playedColor>
in the Anime_Mail.xml in the listcontrol in the facadeview.

Regarding the bug you have: could you post a MediaPortal.log file?

Indeed still a bit buggy.
When I tried to config the new version I get a dot.net error. So I can't config it.
Login doesn't work again.

But it looks allot better on Monochrome 3.0
Great work untill now and I hope the bugs get fixed soon :D

This is all a bit strange. I have been running the 2.1.0 RC for a week without any problem.
If you encounter any problem, could you please post a short description and the MyAnime2.log and MediaPortal.log file here?

Hi guys, I am trying hard to skin My Anime 2 for aMPed. It's going well, but as I am not an Anime user, could you suggest a way to get a decent amount of test data without downloading a few GB? I tried using dummy files, but the lookups use hash codes.

Here's my questions (for now :))
    1. Where do I find the following Blue3 skin files? These are not in the download (zip):
    • anime2_AnimeInfo.xml
    • Anime2_Calendar.xml
    • Anime2_Char.xml
    • Anime2_Relations.xml
    2. Is there somewhere that explains Groups and Episode Groups and the difference? It is likely clear to most Anime Users, but not necessarily to skinners. So I can easily understand how to use the visibility controls, but not when they should be used.

    3. Does 2.1 require any skin changes? I am using 2.0.15 atm and don't want to introduce any new variables yet! The only thing I saw mentioned was the watched colors. I'm hoping you would update the skinning Wiki page if any actual changes were required.

Blue3 has fallen a bit out of date
But I can get this up and going fairly quickly

    2.1.0 has some slight changes
2.1.1 already has some significant changes

I will update the wiki for skin devs as well.

If you don't mind going to our developer discussion, I will start a thread there and we can answer your questions in detail

I'll explain all views, in order of occurrence:
    • Group view: Anime series can be grouped together, so that for instance all sequels of the same series are in one group. In the plugin, all series vave to be in one group. If there is only one series in a group, opening that group will skip the series view and go straigt to the episode or episode groups view. The group view displays all groups.
    • Series view: displays all series in a group.
    • Episode group view: There are a few types of anime episodes, like normal episodes, credits, and specials. The episode group view shows the existing episode types of a series. If there is only one episode type (mostly the 'normal' type), this view will be skipped.
    • Episode view: Displays all episodes in an episode group.

2.1.0 seems a lot snappier, or is just me? Great work guys!!
Indeed, we have been working on that.
Strange what difference a few milliseconds can make, isn't it?
