I know, but the File Server where the SQLite Databse will be stored on runs Linux.
So the Server would only Store the File, but on every HTPC JMM Server would run and connect to that file.

You are running more than one instance of JMM Server?
I can't think of any reason why you would need to do that, if they are all connecting to the same database (in fact it will most likely cause issues)

From what i know i will have to.
I need to run JMM Server always when the JMM Client or MA3 want to access the database, right?
So in my Network i have 2 HTPC's with MePo and one Desktop where the JMM Client should run on. All these PC's are running Windows 7. I have no dedicated MePo Windows Server in my Network, than it would be easy.

Also i have one Storage server in my Network running unRaid Linux, there i want to store the SQLite File, but i cant run JMM Server on it, because it is not a Windows PC.
I know that the SQLit is not that multiuser capeable.

I just want a central database where all my Clients can connect to, thats the reason why it should run on a Linux MySQL database.
Unfortnately this doesn't work for any weird kind of reason, and i dont have any Windows PC running 24/7 to run a Windows MySQL Server.

Worst case scenario would be here for me the same i do now in MA2. Do all the work on one HTPC and than always copy the database to the other clients. At least with MA3 i could manage everything on a desktop PC. Makes it a little better but is far away from beeing perfect.

If it helps here is how I have my network set up

Machine on network

Fileserver1: qnap nas system
Fileserver2: qnap nas system
Fileserver3: CentOS file server

HTPC1: Windows 7 media center running JMM Server using mssql as the database backend and Media Portal with MA 3
HTPC2: Windows 7 Media center running Media Portal with MA3

Desktop PC: Windows 7 running JMM Desktop

In this setup I only have to keep HTPC1 on all the time and my fileservers

I think in your setup you could do something like this too

Over all this setup is working great for me, I set up JMM server to use network shares for all the directories and every machine on my network can see them so that makes it super easy to manage

There is the downside for me, there is always one Windows PC which will need to run all the time. In my case this PC need approx. 60 Watts.
Really uneconomic to leave it running all the time, especially when i see that my Seagate Dockstar (need around 10 Watts) or my unRaid Fileserver (which is only active when a Mediafile etc. is needed) can also do the job.

This setup works great if you have a dedicated TV Server for example, which can do the job. For me that is not that interesting.

The original plan was to store the MySQL Database on the Dockstar which is running Linux, so that every Client could connect to it, would have been perfect because the Dockstar is running 24/7.

I mean in MA2 it was also possible to choose the the location of the DB, maybe i just have to search throught the config Files of JMM and MA3.

Maybe a dumb question, but how can i add an Anime which is not listed in the AniDB?
When i try to add a new Series i can Add a new Group by editing the groupname and sort by hand, but in the next step i have to choose wheter an existing Anime is used, or i have to provide an AniDB ID. Or did i miss something here?

How does one group similar anime in myanime 3? Can't find the setting any more

This is still not available in MA3 yet, only in JMM Desktop

This is not possible.
Is there any reason why the anime is not in AniDB?

Hi!
I tweaked the StreamedMP skin to fix the title overlapping issue. I can't figure out how to extend the name of the episode on the far right? Can anyone help with that? It's really annoying how there's so much free space and the episode name gets cut off.

OK - two things I'd like to add:

    - Sorting of the Years ;) - you know?
    - more important - as I'm running single seat teh unit is sent to sleep every day. When it wakes up again I need to manually start the Import process - otherwise the drop-folder is not scanned.

Everything else - running smoothly :)
