Hello scythe000,

Judging from your earlier post, you were using v2 earlier. This version is still in an almost complete rewrite, and is still in the alpha stage. If you want to use the plugin normally (not for testing I mean), I would recommend you use the stable v1 for now until a stable v2 is released.
I'm not sure what the changed in v2 are exactly, but I doubt the database will be compatible. So if you have used v2 earlier, I would suggest you remove it completely when you replace it with v1. It seems v2 uses a different database, and both versions can be used together.

If the problem still persists with v1: Could you double-check that you configured an anime source correctly (in the plugin properties page)?
If everything seems correct, could you post your MediaPortal.log file (a clean one: close MediaPortal, remove or rename the current MediaPortal.log file, Start MediaPortal and start a file scan, close mediaportal ... and post the log file here).

Both coexist quite nicely as they are using different DB's

    Cheers,

slamdance: The new hashing should still show a progress (I had quite a lot of work with that too) ... In my case most files are hashed in +/- 2 seconds now, so the hashing % is shown briefly ...
I believe the plugin doesn't always hash the files: If it can find an exact match on the filename+filesize (with the webservice), it doesn't hash the file but retrieves the hash from the web service. To be sure you're actually hashing the files, you should (temporarily) disable the web service.

And thanks regarding the missing xml ... I thought I'd added this file before!

    Hello Iwerndly,

Seems like the v2 currently did not have a DB cleanup function, right?

At the moment the cleanup stuff is bundled in when you select "Run Import"

    NEW RELEASE 0.3.8:

    CHANGE: Improved hashing speed

Awesome news. I wait until i've opened up the Version2 and let you make this change yourself, if that's alright.

Yeah if it finds the file on the web service, it won't need to hash the file.

I disabled the webserver and started with a clean database.

The hashing labels show up now, and man it's fast ! Great work!

And it work's great on a x64 proccessor.

Actually it became a total disaster!

All I ever did for both the v1 and v2 was copy them into the MP directory. That was the only change I've made to MP for a month. After that, everytime I tried to play a movie, it would play for 3 seconds, then dissapear while playing and show the menus in mp-tvseries. I tried uninstalling, I tried reinstalling the streamedMP skin, resintalling MP. I had to do a clean install of 1.0.2. Needless to say, I'm hesitant about reinstalling it. I'll try again later with only 0.3.8, and we'll see how that goes.

Ok, well I just got it installed and working. It pulls down the series poster, genre, years and such. Does the plugin not pull down episode information like MP-TvSeries?

I'll check if I'm doing something in the plugin somewhere, but I am using mp-tvseries and AnimeV2 quite regularly with no problems.
As mentioned before it's still really an alpha though.

    Episode information will come later.

I see, so no episode info for either v1 or v2?

Basic info such as episode name, air date and rating is available on AniDB.
Episode images and summaries are only available from The TV DB.
