My AVR Yamaha RX-V671 is detected as my TV (LG 50PK950) = No HD audio (1 Viewer)

If you don't know how to override EDID, I'm pretty sure you're not doing it

OK, but you think it is going to solve my problems, or?

Haven't had the time to google yet, can you lead me to some guide or anything?

Ok I tried the EDID override, but changed nothing.

I have found out that reciever turns off the sound if I turn of the TV while using the mediacenter (mediaportal) - this does not happen to when I am listening to netradio or some the other functions in the reciever.

Any help, comments etc. are still very welcome

I fixed it - just so no ones trying to figure out what could be wrong.

I was fiddling with the settings on the AVR.

I do not know why, but I set the followin
HDMI control = ON
enabled sync in the Audio output settings

and woilla! I have DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD - Now I just have to get a real movie or something to test with.

I have the same issue as you, with Yamaha rx-v765 and LG PK760 TV. HDMI out from an i7 3770k PC.
When i set the Audio out to TV or TV+AMP i got only Dolby Digital, but when i set it to AMP i got Dolby Digital, DTS Audio and Dolby Digital Plus.
Only if i turn the TV off then it shows TrueHD and DTS-MA.
I can't solve this problem.
