Where to store login and password ?

Hi!

Since the plugin settings cant be saved without a crasch I saw something in this forum about manually store the dreambox username and password. As a newbie to MP I cant find the correct settings file and not the correct syntax.

I have tried setting the password with the crasching GUI but no files in the MP program DIR contains that sting.

Where do I store the username and password and what syntax do I use ?

PS I use MP lastest stable and DM7000 with Gemini and working VLC.

what MP Version are u using?
I had the same problem with MP version 0.2.0.4
Once i upgraded to MP version 0.2.1 it worked just fine.

I found out that in MediaPortal.xml this entry is correct:

<section name="mydreambox">
<entry name="IP">192.168.99.56</entry>
<entry name="UserName">root</entry>
<entry name="Password">mypassword</entry>
</section>

I have some problems with the dreamboxplugin in mediaportal. I can't get picture,sound or channel list. I have channelinfo, so I'm connectet to the DB. I really want this one to work.. Great plugin..

I have posted some Info here on how to control the DBox running Neutrino

The Dreambox was actually developed by the guys who originally found the Loophole into the Dbox and developed Enigma & Neutrino

It would be lovely if the support for the Dbox could be added

Standard Password & Username dbox / root

I tried it but I have all the bug that describe in the posts :
On The version 0.2 and 0.204 :
I have the error when I want to enter the IP (I don't have this with 0.21 version).
I add between <profile> and </profile> :

<entry name="IP">192.168.0.58</entry>
<entry name="UserName">root</entry>
<entry name="Password">dreambox</entry>
</section>
and then I click on "My dreambox", Meidaportal do nothing and in error.log, I have :

08/11/2006 18:42:24 OnMessage exceptionystem.NullReferenceException: La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet.
à MediaPortal.GUI.Dreambox.MyDreamboxGui.SetLabels()
à MediaPortal.GUI.Dreambox.MyDreamboxGui.OnPageLoad()
à MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindow.OnMessage(GUIMessage message)

Do you have some clue that could help me ?...

Use the svn public build (not just the normal install, it is not supported)

Somebody else covers neutrino. He's busy with other stuff but eventually will work on that.

Going two ways

From now on this thread will cover the plugin as it is now (and new features of it)

BUT

For people who have a tv card (with s-video or composite input ports) I created two small .NET applications which will make it able for you to use the default TV plugin in MP!!!!!!!!

In a few days I will set up documentation and downloads to make this sh*t possible !!!!
