I was mainly referring adding it to the actual file name. e.g. Movie.jpg -> Movie 1999.jpg

You could also only do it if a file is already there.

So are you only referring to coverart? That would be a simple change, as it is part of the database anyway and thus no problems to be found. In opposite, fanart is found by directory/filename - so changes there are "more intrusive" ...

I finally have broadband so am going to start setting up my films :)

I have downloaded the June version from guzzi's wiki page, do I also need new grabbers or are the ones included correct?

Small issue in the box set setup, the wiki and my films setup say to create groups by using a \ as default in the file name. This character is an invalid character (in windows at least).

I've not started importing yet as I'm having a read through but will provide feedback on how it goes :)

Ps. Any thing special needed for the latest test version on the user wiki or good to go

The ones included in the installer are adapted to latest changes in the grabber engine - if you had userdefined grabber scripts before, those need an update

That is a misunderstanding - that character should be used in the TITLE name - not the file name itself.
However, there is two more comfortable ways than adapting it in the catalog manager itself:
    1. In AMCupdater, you can define a word to automatically import films as group/box set, have a look at avatar directory in samplemovies to get the idea.
    AMCU_Groups.JPG

Note: Edition detection works similar and can be defined in AMCupdater:
This will populate the Edition field (or be addedt o title name, depending on your settings) automatically
    AMCU_Editions.JPG

    2. In MyFilms GUI you have an option in movie context menu to add or remove a movie from/to a Box Set / Group. Thus you can edit your Box Sets assignments without using your catalog manager or edit it after you imported your movies.
When using "add to Group", MyFilms will offer you a list of all existing group names to add to an already existing group plus the option to create a new Group name. nested groups are supported and offered too.
When using "remove from Group" the respective movie will be removed from the current group.
The options are context sensitive, so only possible options are displayed.

Wiki is unfortunately not yet up2date for V5.2, so you will not find all new features there yet.
Will post a new test version this weekend, that mainly addresses issues in the new cover manager screen.
Beside that - thanks for testing and any feedback is welcome :)

I note that AMCU puts the tagline and rating in custom fields now, which is great. AMC's IMDB script however doesn't accomodate that and puts the tagline in the Description field and the rating in the Media Label field. Is there a way to amend AMC's IMDB script so that it puts the information in the same fields as AMCU does, to keep all records consistent whether they're added via AMCU or AMC?

    Hi,
best would be to ask in AMC forum - yes, there is the possibility to use customfields in AMC scripts, introduced in AMC4.x - but it needs modification/update to the AMC scripts...

OK thanks. Is there anything else AMCU does differently to AMC's IMDB script other than putting tagline and certification in custom fields? I see it also uses the custom fields AudioChannelCount and Fanart but I don't think that's data that AMC retrieves/writes so I don't have to worry about those.

AMCU scripts are highly configurable - there is a mapper included, that allows to decide what (source) field should be mapped what destination field. So changing AMCU scripts is not difficult via Grabber Script Editor - and e.g. saving with a custom name.
AMC IMDB script also has several config options (e.g. switch between writer or director import) - but otherwise is mapped statically to AMC fields.
To get an idea, best is to use IMDB-Full script in AMCU - this one is populating almost all fields - and thus alllows to see what data is mapped to what field.
You can also use Grabber script Editor and do a preview on the details tab - it will show you ALL output data in the preview window.

OK, looking at IMDB-Full I can see I can set Tagline to be added to the start of the Description field and Certification to the Certification field, so I'll just need to adapt the AMC IMDB script to put the Certification in the Certification field as well.

Is there a way to make IMDB-Full always put the English title in Original Title field and the foreign title in the Translated Title field? This might seem a bit strange but when looking at the list in AMC (or AMCU probably) it's a bit hard to know what a film is if it's Original Title contains the foreign title.

I'm having trouble getting MyFilms to create the AMCU config file at the moment. On the Import tab I've set the AMCU Config File, Clicked recreate Default Settings, clicked Save (both several times) but when I click Create Desktop Icon it says "Config file not found".
