to keep you updated: on page 31 of this thread I wrote about two requests for the music part of MP.
I managed to look in to MP source code and solved the first request myself: creating thumbs for all genres and artists. I added some code in the music database update part of the configuration.

Please see sourceforce patch 1529227 for new code. I hope I did everything right with the patch; it's my first contribution to MP code

I will check if I can solve my seconds request (filtering a view without having to see the filtered level) in the next days.

... all views i have, are (List, Symbol, Tile and Cover) and if i change the view by 'change view' to 'all titles' i´ve get just all Titles of the first subdirectory.

Seems, that i´m realy blind.

That´s the only gimmick in need to "kill" M$ media-player 10. By the way, M$ deleted this nice (for me only?) function im MP 11...

That's strange.. Did you scan your complete collection?
For me it takes 30 seconds to change to this view as it contains ALL known music files on all shares..

That was my problem. All i´ve done, was setting up my musik-path in the setup. Now, i´ve seen 'Update database from...'

It´s working perfectly now. Thank you very much!


Do i have to do a manual scan for each new file i get now or is it added by playing?
