Update:
I installed the latest SVN snapshot and it did not fix the problem.
Here is my configuration log:
http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/10798

I cut out the TV update stuff because it was too long and giving my browser problems. If I cut out something important, I'll try to put the whole thing up.

Basically the tagreader is reporting that it "cannot get tag" but when I open the files in winamp and look at the tag information it is all there. Also it does not fail for every file. For example for Tool, all their albumns except for 10,000 Days fails to read the tag. I could upload a file that works and one that doesn't, if that would help the devs.

I was able to get much further into a seemingly successful scan (7000/9000) but then I heard a dreaded 'bong' and received a dialog box complaining about a pure virtual function call. The log is attached.

    Thanks,
    Smirnuff.

    Smirnuff,
can't see in the log what really caused the problem.
by any chance could u try again and see is the problem crops up again and tell me the exact error message of the dialog.

    thx,

    Helmut

Yeah not much use. It seems to me that its bombing out in the .NET Framework, in fact from a call that the framework makes to a C/C++ DLL; no pure virtuals in C# in that sense.

Sure thing, it'll be later this evening or tomorrow morning.

    Thanks,
    Smirnuff.
