Tried out your plugin yesterday and its perfect. And now I have a small request

How about adding teletext for the other swedish channels as well? Is it possible?

Ok, there is a now a new version available! The only new thing is the possibility to translate the main menu button caption. A Swedish language file is included.

Sorry pezmannen, that is not possible! This plugin isn't a real teletext plugin but only a web page parser plugin. That means that the only thing the plugin does is grabbing the SVT Text data from the www.svt.se site and displays the text in MP. Since the other channels in Sweden don't have such web pages it isn't possible to add them. However if you find one, I will be happy to add it. TV4 is no good since its webpage is based on images and not text.

The plugin has a quite good modularity so if someone from another country have an internet teletext source it should be quite easy to replace SVT Text with another channel, if anyone is interested please contact me.

There is a newer Swedish strings.xml made after the 0.0.0.12 version with all new tags for My files and My Mail translated, I add your Tag to this version and send it to MrMario so he can add it to the CVS.

I just checked some german channels. Sat1, Pro7 and VOX deliver graphics, RTL (and maybe RTL 2, SuperRTL) uses a Java applet.

ARD uses a text module. The main site is

The site "101" is
http://www.ard-text.de/videotext/index.html?tafel=101
and so on. Maybe a piece to try?!

Ok! The new internationalized version of My SVT Text is available, from now on known as My TeleText. This version features SVT Text (Swedish) and ARD Text (German). The source is set up in the MP config tool. If there are more good sources out there let me know!

One new feature also, a new button that always links to the previous page viewed.

thank you for the new feature ARD Text!

I take it, you tested it on your system. But for me it does not work fully:
I have one line of text, probably the headline of the page, but no text from the page. I get an indicator for page 1/2 though. The text body seems not to be parsed correctly.

Using german strings.xml and MCE skin.

For the Netherlands there is:

http://teletekst.nos.nl/tekst/100-01.html

these are both the same, but one gives back images and the other one gives back text. The first number is the pagenumber (100 in the example) and the number after the dash is the subpage.

Thx for that!! For me it works fine, using 011 with MCE. Only a easier way to enter the numbers would be fine. If I want to see i.e. page 150, I have to press the button 50 times.
