Hi,
when playing a video or DVD and I press pause the video is correctly paused and pressing the pause button again continues the video - it works perfectly. But when I press play in a paused video the video runs for 3 or 4 seconds and stops then for about 30 seconds before it continues normally. When a video or DVD is paused and you press play the same action should be executed that the pause button invokes - I think here is happening another action in background that stops the video for 30 seconds (in this time MP is unresponsive).

Pressing the play button in a running video invokes the same action (video stops for 30 seconds and MP is unresponsive, but should do nothing at all. Can somebody confirm this behavior?

It would be nice if the behavior of the play button in these situations should be changed like described above.
If you need any logs to find out the reason for it I can post them...

btw: MP is really a wonderful software :)

I also tried ATI Codecs (Video Decoder and CC Multiplexer) and there are the same "problems", but ffdshow runs better on my system so I take take that codec...

It's not really a big problem, because I know to use the pause button to resume the video... But how does it work internally? Are the pause button and play button execute the same function to resume a paused video? Because of the different behavior I don't think so... So I would suggest to give the same function to resume the video to the play button. Also the play button should be ignored on a already running video...

It could be that the "30 second stop" doesn't appear with other codecs, but that's not really the point I wanted to show. I think it's not a big deal to change the behavior of the play button or is it?

My english isn't the best, so I hope you understand what I'm looking for ;)

Antec Fusion 430 Black, take it you are using the onboard mce receiver or possibly the remote itself, especially if it does not look like the one below.
one of the above is most likely your problem, as have seen no other posts regarding this.

Right, I'm using the onboard IR receiver with the MCE remote control. The play button is mapped on the key 'p' and the pause button is mapped on space.

These mappings should be right for mp and they work...

OK, can any of the devs tell me, if the play button and the pause button invoke the same method or function when a video is paused and you press them? That is I want to know. And when these buttons don't invoke the same method in this situation: why not?

    Thanks again :)
