i think i have something, i did i new install/clean

i have notice that if you open mediaportal with an alarm saved it will give you the error message. if you delete the alarm and restart mediaportal it will not give the error.

i manage to get a "message" alarm working but whenever i try a "file" alarm it just plays 2 seconds and then stops.

if you enter mediaportal with no saved alarms it will not give you the error message, so you can use it normally and even set up a new alarm. the problem is the 2seconds playback and that if you close and open again mp with the alarm saved(and expired) then you will get the error.


i hope this helps.

i am pretty sure that the "old saved alarm" is the problem cause if you say continue to the error message 2 or 3 times until you are able to get into the saved alarm and delete it. then no error message appears any more.

Hi,
It is the old alarm that causes it or the compare method, there are also a bug with playlist. I'm going to move this to bug section now, so other can confirm & see that it is a issue.
The problem now it's i only have it on vista computer, not XP Pro or MCE

Where can i get the modified file? so i can see if it also works for me?

do you get the 2second stop also? when playing a file also, or just playlist?

hi ronilse, i have just downloaded the las svn and the exception error is solved as you say.

however i am still getting only half a second of song when the alarm starts and then it stops.

oh and every 65 seconds aprox i get the first half second of the song over and over again.

i have posted this in the svn but also here cause i didnt know which was the correct place. hope thats not a problem.

ive got the alarm to play a file without stopping, trouble is i dont know how cause sometimes it does not work.

==> i also found that the progressive volume feature does not work for me, anyone can confirm this?

i notice that sometimes when hitting ESC to go back to home screen it will not return any further from the alarm list screen. maybe this is related, dont know.

Volume control it's different handled in Vista so dunno if that ever will work without a huge change.
It doesn't play more then a glitch of a second here so something doesn't work correct(we use this thread for that)

didnt know about the volume, ok its not a big problem but it would be nice. i guess that as long as my alarm works its ok.

what about the volume control in the configuration? the part that allows a % of volume when played? probably same vista problem.

hwahrmann has fixed this last issue now (tested with a private build of SVN 16285) with songs not playing more then 1 sec.
About the volume problem on vista, there will probably be an option but i dunno when yet or if it will even work, we'll have to see
