MyDreambox and VLC (1 Viewer)

Hello,

As dreambox owner, I was upset to see that the Dreambox Plug-in developer (GaryW) disappeared, and that the Plug-in is no longer available in MediaPortal 2.3.0 RC2. As a mater of fact the necessary VLC Plug-in is also no longer available.

I recompiled the source code for the Dreambox Plug-in and corrected a problem with recordings with German Umlaute. These will now be played even if your system is English based.

Since the VLC plug-in is also a prerequisite, I have included it in the zip file.

I have tested this Plug-in on MP 2.3.0 RC2 only!

If anyone is interested, it's in the repository under EPG/TV MyDreambox_Plus_VLC.

I hope it helps those, who are as upset as I was...

You need to help me out. What process plug-in do you mean?

I added only the MyDreambox DLL to Plugin\Windows, the VLC DLL to Plugins\Extern.. and the LIBVLC DLL to the MPRoot.

Doesn't it work for you?

Hi David66 , there's also a process plugin .
That plugin is for connecting dreambox as external setupbox
It will import dreambox chans and EPG , it was included in MP 0.2.3.0 RC1 "inside" the process.dll plugin.
Well yesterday got so little time to test it , the only thing i noticed was that i cannot select radio ,it will jump top the next option...
More deep test today when i come home

Hi , i confirm , cannot select radio in dreambox plugin it jumps from recorded tv to search directly.
Is My radio disabled?
And you understand what i mean with my dreambox process plugin?
I was using that part of the plugin cause Dbox 500 is "poor" on network side , some channels are full of noise

Can you write a step by step guide to installing this plugin? i copied the the files in the 0.2.3.0 folder. but i get an error when i press quit after entering settings in the plugin menu in config.

VideoLAN.dll in MP ExternalPlayers dir

got it working... installed rc2..
but in the second i press "turn on tv" MP crashes..
