What I meant was I coded the folder stuff against svn 56, your first release when there weren't user views, so no account would have been taken of them.

I tried 270 this morning and folders with diff sort didn't work properly during a switch view. As in set it to genres, select a genre and an item from it, switch view, switch back again, not remembered position. Whereas selecting a grenre item, then pressing H and re-running plug does remember it, so a view change can't be doing everything relevant that gets done at plug start.

Intend testing it all more thoroughly soon.

Thanks for your test and if you can correct the code as you only use folders...

Sorry but users views were defined in the first release and obviously long time before you add folders. It's the default view that I was adding in the same time and I habe to merge wyth your code...

I think we are talking about different things. When I said user-views I meant the user configurations that are selectable from the view menu under 'change movie setup'. I realise they were in the first svn release but I began coding against your earlier 26Jan source in the v3.1 zip which didn't have them.

I used to use MythTV and found the folders thingy great for organising a large offline video collection which is why I was keen to add them as soon as you made the source avail.

cheers, great work

OK found some stuff that got lost when my position memory stuff was integrated, I've fixed it in various places and tested it. It should now remember exactly where you are between different user_configs switches, restarts etc, including any sorts etc in place. Will test it more later to check if searches etc are still remembered.

cheers

Thanks.
Tell me when you finish your tests and modifications then I could download the latest code.

OK it will now remember any position you were in, and preserve between change movie setup's, home, rerun etc. Fixed it so Esc clears search completely. Tested, all seems to work, but there are so many permutations of how a user may navigate that unsure if perfect. You may wanna check it's all flowing as you intended by clicking for a few mins and checking it does what you expect. Sorry about delay, fixing one thing seemed to open a can of worms.

Don't woory for time delay, you do a great Work thanks.
I test it few minutes ans it seems to work fine. I'll test a little bit this afternoon and if it's good deliver that version.

Do you think you can work on an icon view or infortunetely have no time for it ? Can I help in that way, I don't know how to start with it...

I deffo have no time at moment, at least for a few weeks. I'm annoyed I lost the work I had done i.e. the skin, code etc. I had mimiced the button setup of MyVideos, shifted skin about and used that facadeView instead of ListView but the messages didn't work the same way as ListView and it became pretty frustrating. I think hwahrmann would be the best one able to advise & help. It looked simple and maybe it is if you know how... I'll prolly not be on here much for a few weeks.

cheers
