ahm...
maybe a stupid question but... I do not know which database I take and how do I put them in the setting menu?
do I need some files to download (lrc and if that is the way where to get them) or a database URL?
I do not want to type in all the lyrics myself, if I understand the tool right it gets the lyrics automatically from a (which) database (if there is an appropriate tag in the mp3 file) right?

I could, after a thorough re-installation, isolate what I had to do make your plugin work. Strangely, I cannot have the Cross-fading bar set to 0 seconds. Now I have set it to 0.10 seconds. And the plugin works. One little issue: why do the apostrophes multiply. I a particular song, the number of apostrophes multiply every time I open the lyric?

Hello, I've got sometimes the same problem. I think it's not a MyLyrics problem, it's the Lyrics web page. If you see on the different lyrics web page lot of them have mistakes.

I installed the plugin today but so far I have not been able to use it. Every time I run it I MP stops responding (song keeps playing) and I get the following screen (see screen shot) . I'm running MP RC1 with Core Reloaded skin.

First of all, try with bluetwo. So we can define if it's a skin or a plugin problem.

I think it's a skin problem because song keep playing. For me with MP1.rc1 and MyPlugin1.0 and Xface, I don't have any problem.

Then when you hear the first word of the line press "enter", for each line.
At the end it's written something like "LRC ok"

If you listen again the song it scroll automatically.

It's long to do but it's work well. Maybe it's possible to find lyrics with lrc on the web, but never tried.

First of all, thanks a lot for the information and the great work (and, of course, thanks a lot mackey).
I'am using MP 1.0.0 RC1 (no SVN yet), with Bluewo skin.
I'am trying to edit on the fly a lyric to get a .lrc file, following the procedure you mentioned. However, it didn't work: no text appeared in the LRC editor menu (while it was ok with the Lyric menu). Then, I have (succesfully) tried to import a .lrc file, but when palying the song no text appears (even if the menu was switched to LRC).

I saw in a previous thread that .lrc files seem to have some problem to be displayed; however, your post I have quoted is more recent than the thread, so I supposed that everything is fine for you (namely, even the editing function and/or .lrc display).

It is a plugin problem. I found this forum thread on the same topic.

Furthermore, this multiplication for me is only apparent (not in the files or database themselves), so in all songs that have lyrics in the TAG an apostrophe in the tag is always represented by two apostrophes (or one quation mark, I cannot tell the difference) in MyLyrics. For songs that only have lyrics in the Lyrics database, the apostrophes show up normally.

I can live with this.

Thank you for a just simply fantastic plugin! Used it alot with previous versions of mediaportal and now I've updated to the latest, and I have to say that I trouly miss the static lyrics. Okey it's fancy whith autoscroll when you have fixed it or downloaded the lrc files or whatever but It seemes like a total waste of time. I love to have lyrics to all songs in my database but I will not find the time to do all the work this new verison demands to show the lyrics properly. Sadly my favorite plugin has become useless for me. Isnt't possible to have a choice of static or autoscroll visualization of the lyrics? I just want it to work on the first try, not mess around with lrc when I don't think it's worth it when I know I in previos verisons just had to press Page Down.

great plugin, however some problems:

- Using MP RC1.0 + some SVN @MyLyrics1.0

I cannot switch between Lyrics basic and another view; I'm using MCE remote. # / * is not working. Where can I config the keys?

Is there a way to let the lyrics scroll/follow the song? Now just the first 2 paragraphes are shown and you have to manually press "OK" to scroll... which is not cool
So how can you show the whole songtext in 1 screen? (must say my screen is 720X576)
