    AW: New Plugin : MyMenu

    I packstlauren,

I think a How to would be nice:
SOmething like what to write into command (f.ex. path to exe file) , how to start (crt+l) one example to show whats possible with it etc...

i use it now to start a "screensaver" on my second monitor, but i have the problem that i only can rename the menu, but not the new action. The name for new action (like monitor off) and the confirmation settings are not saved for me...
What means/happens if i click on validate?
Do i have to click on save after validation or before...

And i also think, that more people would use this plugin with a nice how to and some examples...

    Hi Cubbi,

Thanks for your feedback. I will try to do a better how-to.

When you want to save your command configuration, you have to click on the validate button. If you have change the name of the command, the tree is updated with the new name in the same time. If it doesn't there is may be a bug.

When you have finish all of your modifications you have to click on the button save, which will write your config in a configuration file (you can see it in your configuration directory, myMenu.xm).

    Tell me if it's ok.

no thats not working in this way, if i change the submenu name it only changes if i will press validate...

and this is also not working for submenu and confirmation... (path to exe is saved, name of main menu also...)

if change it in the mymenu.xml it works... (in config and mediaportal itself)

That's the same comportment for commands, you have to click on "validate" in order to save the config. If you don't press it, your modification will not be saved.

    To be clear :

    1- edit your command
    2 - Press Validate button
    3- Press save command

Funny, think i found the error: you have to change only one thing at time and then click on validate and save, than its really saved. if i change two things at time and click on validate and than save only on thing is really saved... (only tested with name and confirmation not with command). can this be true?

    Re: New Plugin : MyMenu

Hi, work fine here, so I made a little software to wake-up my Data server, it's simple and perfect ;-)

I have a request for the next version, could you exit also with Control+L ?

The wake on line source code has been found on the WEB and modified. This is a VS2010 project. (Hard coded MAC)

    Thanks again, Technick
