MyStreams Plugin (2 Viewers)

k guys I was playing about with the plugin trying to recreate the error message ysmp, bounguine are getting and managed to get an incompatability error when removing the my MyStreams.xml file from the root folder, so it seams to be related to the initial stream list load section can you please check that this file is in the same folder as the Mediaportal exe not the plugin folder maybe the the skin was copied to this folder instead by mistake (my bad the names should be distinguished a little better) I'll lash an update renaming the files and creating a blank xml channel file if it dosnt find one asap. would do it today but have to go out for a mates birthday.

I've attached a copy of a screen dump of the error message I got. let me know if its the same one

Yes, the error message was the same.

I just cleared MyStreams.xml in the root folder and after that I got no messages and could open the plugin's config.
But, if I press "+group" button, I see no errors and if I press "+stream" I again see a nasty message (in the attachment).
If I press "continue" in the error window my PC goes into reboot.

hiya back but from teh excursion hehe not in a state to code but I think I know what to do to get rid fo this. check for update soon

Bounguine, that reboot thing I have no idea what happens there as the plugin dosnt do anything out of the ordinary other then read the channel xml file and pass the url to media player. I'll try replicate your error but hopefully the next update will sort this too

Hi guys,

had a very bad week and couldn't get any time to do any work, I had planned to spend most of saturday coding but we had the worst storm in over a decade (if ya believe the news lol) which knocked out the feckin electricity >.< can't manage too much time today either but I did redo the startupcode (logging is coming) this morning.

Appologies for not getting as much time as I hoped to get more done and I hope this version results in the afformentioned error going away for those that are seeing it.

remember to use the new skin from this rar btw (you can delete the old one) if you are upgrading from earlier version.

Updated attachement to version 0.0.9b

- minor update for "the plugin is incompatible with this version of MP". issue
- changed skin and cfg filenames to better distinguish between the two.

- for those with this plugin working you wont see any change in functionality

for those with the plugin already working and have groups defined rename the file MyStreams.xml to MyStreamsCFG.xml in the root folder

hi Bradyph ! walcome back.... mystreams v009b work great for me ....

1- did you put mapo on porpes on the runing nomber wheen we go out from full screen ,to the list with the small
tv ??

2- for some reason i can only see tv only from USA ... i try maby 5 from europ no work ? (meby my url to old..)

3- do mystream can work with mms stream ? i try a few ,did not work for me

you mean the timer to the left of the small screen when at the list screen? media portal puts it there itself, its the time the stream/video has been playing

not 100% on mms as I dont think I tested them. but with regards to streams in general if you want you can paste the url into windows media player and test them there. if they work they should be fine with the plugin if a particular stream type dosn't play try find a plugin/codec for wmp that supports it

abut 1 maby i was not so clear ...sorry . i test mystream on my workdesk (4:3) befur i move it to my living room
cumputer with 42" LCD ..so i ment the mapo in mystream skin on 4:3 screen is excacly on the nomber...
i was wonder if you ment it to be or just come out like thet ...

abut 2-3 thanks i will try on wmp ... but if mystream will suport mms this will be great , many wab's use mms ..

any way keep up the great job you doing ....

about 1, sorry yeah it probably looks funny on wide screen as the skin was more or less thrown together and isn't tested/designed for widescreen yet. I'll be updating it in future to have both a 4:3 and 16:9 version of the skin. hope this helps
