i'm using the most recent version of azureus und did notice that it is indeed questioning the target location. you may be able to switch this off via tools --> configuration --> File (in my german verison it's "Datei" so it's most likely "file", anyway it's the third category) --> activate the 9th checkbox from th top and specifie your wished target directory. azureus won't bother you again with any popup. the only problem is that azureus itself is popping up from the taskbar so you should check the "MP always in front" option in the MP configuration if that results in any problems for you. Further, like mentioned before, you can enter below that checkbox an Directory where completed files should be moved to. type in a dir that belongs to your my movies share to see the movie appearing in MP as soon as it's ready.

another possibility is to tell azureus not to preuse the space of the torrent so that you can check the filesize via the explorer plugin (well, this seems very complicated (-;]

hope to helped you out a bit (and if someone has any solution for my problem mentioned on post up, that would be highly appreciated (-;]

smnnekho, I ran into the same problem with mp4. Seems like almost all the video podcats out there are mp4 and windows media player does not like mp4. See this from microsoft:

    http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;q316992

Windows Media Player does not support the playback of the .mp4 file format. You can play back .mp4 media files in Windows Media Player when you install DirectShow-compatible MPEG-4 decoder packs

I experimented with different codecs but have not realy found a good one.
Let me know if you find a good solution to this because it would open up all kinds of video podcasts.

You can test with dl.tv. They have video feeds in lots of formats including wmv which will work.

Just noticed this great idea for a plugin today and had a few thoughts...

It should be possible to integrate this with a non-windowed torrent client. Another possibility is something like uTorrent, which I believe has options to do post-processing on the file like move it to a separate directory, plus it runs in the background nicely. Although I'd also be interested in trying to just build a torrent client into MP. However, that's probably going to have to wait until exams are over next month.

Until then, there's tvrss.net which might also be good for RSS feeds.

And I'm definitely going to try this out tonight once I get home.

DJ, I'd love to hook it into a nice torrent client. I use xbt which has a small footprint, copies completed torrents to a folder that I have mp videos pointed at.

    http://xbtt.sourceforge.net/client/

Actually controlling the torrent downloads from within mp would be best. Let me know when you are ready to work on an mp torrent client! Imagine connecitng all mp users into a p2p network...

Thanks for the link to tvrss.net. I'll check it out along with uTorrent.

Since My Torrents and My PodCasts share about 90% of their code I've decided to bundle them in a single dll. This will make it easier for me to update them and for you to get the latest versions. I've updated the locations in the first post.

If you install the new single dll Be sure to remove MyPodcasts.dll and MyTorrents.dll or you will see two versions of the plugins show up in your menu.

I have installed the My torrents plugin and enabled the Web browser plugin. By using the HTML plugin for azureus you can control azureus from the web browser plugin. The major problem is the font size used by the Azureu HTML plugin is very small for viewing on a CRT. but if it is merely confirmation you want this is the best so far. fcsobel says that there is a possibility of using an XML plugin for better results. We shall see.

Dammit the signup for the Beta tested closed today! Sheesh. Oh well I suppose VNCing into my MP box with the Lappie still works for az control with the HTML plugin.
