I post, a installer link for MePo based on master (13/08/) merged with Myvideo (13/08) and Gui setting (05/08).
WARNING FOR USER it's a SVN version, not official. only for tested the enhancement. ( Perso i use it on my HTPC)

Hi!

Finally i have found time to test the great improvements of MyVideo! All seems to work fine, but i have some questions and i hope, you can help!
1. I like to use only local stored coverart (folder.jpg). Is there a way to add them automatically?
2. How should i handle multipart-movies? For example: Der Herr der Ringe Die Rückkehr des Königs (2003) (tt0167260) - Teil 1 & Der Herr der Ringe Die Rückkehr des Königs (2003) (tt0167260) - Teil 2! This movie is grabbed two times by the grabber!

1. Yes it can. If movies are in one folder than cover should have file name as video file. If every movie has it's own folder than in config "Every movie in it's own folder" option should be activated for selected share folder, than MP will search for folder.jpg

2. Just add before file extension valid stack extension ie:
Der Herr der Ringe Die Rückkehr des Königs (2003) (tt0167260) CD1.[video extension]
Der Herr der Ringe Die Rückkehr des Königs (2003) (tt0167260) CD2.[video extension]

or DISKn, PARTn, DVDn....

1 . This is available, but you must have film.jpg same name of film.avi or folder.jpg in folder
You must check "Every movie has its own directory"in this Share Folder.

in Bugtracker archive, i have found code implemented for MP 1.2 by Deda.

2. For stacked movie : you have CD1 CD2 or 1-2 2-2 or part 1 part 2 ( i am not sure for 1-2 and part)

Any chance to get "folder.jpg" working? As "moviename.jpg" is normally handled as thumbnail... And with folder.jpg and backdrop.jpg (as fanart) this would be more "compatible" to MovingPictures....

Deda, you have made a useful system for MyVidéo, i use it quasi every day , and it's very full and simply to use ! it's really an Out Of The Box solution ...
missing a little support for me. as nfo on folder, fanart. and maybe an small thumbs solution for not overcharge harddisk. but you already know it

I agree, thanks Deda. It's almost blasphemy to talk about not using Moving Pictures on this site but i am not any more! I think I'm safe in this thread but don't tell anyone else...
I would have two suggestions that could in my opinion improve ease of use for non-expert users.
1) Have an option to automatically create custom groups based on folder structure (could be done at import time or after). This would be across multiple shares, so that if i have two folders called the same thing at sub folder level 2 in different shares, for example, the contents would still be in the same group.
2) An easier one if it can fit. Make it easier to move the selected film up and down the list in the database view in config. It's a pain using the dropdown to move up or down by one film at a time!
