Hi hafblade ,
i just wonder , what was the size of your folder.jpg (for movie "300") ? as i look at your screenshots ... rally can see the 300 movie image as much hi qulaty then the rest .... just wonder with what size image ,was befor you import it ?

@Deda: Yeah that would be really great. I would love to test this. Do you also have some plans with sort title fields in the database?
@ysmp: The local better quality file is something around 170 kb and the internet one 6 kb

OK, here's the new files which should prefer local images. Backup original files first and copy files from rar into MP program directory.

Yeah I'll try it after work.

In the nfo files a sort-title tag (it is called similar to this) can be found. This says in which order the movies should be shown in the movie view.

For example the movies of the Alien Quadriology are called "Alien" "Aliens" "Alien 3" "Alien Resurection" when you show these in the MyVideos View the order will be mest up when sorted alphabetically.

Because of this there is the sort title and not only the title of the movie. The sorttitles could be for example "Alien 1", "Alien 2" and so on. The program would show the standard title but the sort title is the title by which the movies are ordered in alphabetical view.

You can see such behaviour in MovingPictures and / or MyFilms plugin and furthermore in other programs.

So you could sort many movie collections like the James Bond parts, Harry Potter, Star Wars (yeah funny Episode 4 is StarWars 1 as sort title in my collection ) and so on.

Ok, understand. Adding new db field and tag read is not a problem, but sorting is little bit difficult (sort code is spread in a many places) but it will be easier than doing Group view which is now in MP1.3.0A

Just a silly q, what tile should be visible in list on that view original title or sort title ? (asking this because it can be confusing, if we use original titles they will be sorted strangely, if we use sort title than movie titles in list can be for someone in the house unrecognizable).

Sorting should be done by sort title but the title which is shown in the mp view should be the original one.

For example:

Shown title / sorting title

Alien / Alien 1
Aliens / Alien 2
Alien 3 / Alien 3
Alien Ressurection / Alien 4

When DEDA had reworked MyVidéo,I had proposed a common structure for NFO.

In a "perfect" NFO (in perfect world) , we could have

<title></title> <!-- Title used in country -->
<originaltitle></originaltitle> <!-- Real title -->
<sorttitle></sorttitle>

This can be add in import/export nfo ?!?
(Deda "usergroup" can be also add in import/export ?)

Y, user groups can be part of nfo, but be warned that they are related to the database movies (scanned with scrapper or nfo) and are not usable in share view .
