I can play local FLV files but there is no sound, it looks like this may be a problem in my log and yes, i used the FFDshow tryout as per thre link... still no go..

Have you tested to download GraphEdit ?

GraphEdit -> Downloads -> graphedit011008.zip | Software - Digital Digest

There you can see what codec is being used when playing any file.

I also have problems getting MyYouTybe plugin to work...

I installed the plugin, installed MPlayer-plug in, added ".flv" to wherever i found it suitable. Still I get the message that it cant play files from youtube.
Any sugestions?

Do I have to install the MPlayer standalone player and FLVPlayer also to have it work?

Did you try using the internal player as descibed above?
Had no problems what so ever on two macines doing this (both XP, but that should not matter?).

I finally figured it out... I used the latest ffdshow tryout (instead of the old stable one). Works great

Dont know if this it the right place for suggestions, but here it goes:

* Would be nice to access "favorites" from your YouTube account.
* When adding a movie clip as a favorite, store it in your YouTube account.
* List related film clips, like you have on the website.

Hello, I can't see any video with the plugin. It says to me "Unable to play video". I know it's a FLV problem.

First I tried to

Using FLVPLayer
Enable FLVPLayer in configuration

But I don't have any FLVPlayer with MP1.0RC3

Then I tried to

Using Mplayer.

Download mplayer

Add .flv in extensions for mplayer.

But the download link is broken and personaly I don't like this solution because I already have WMP11 and VLC on the HTPC I think it's enough.

So i tried the last solution

Internal player
Make sure you have .flv in your extensions and also that you can play .flv in Windows Mediaplayer.
Then you should be able to play .flv from mediaportal with the internal player.
the latest ffdshow has a flv splitter

For me WMP11 is unable to play FLV files.


Could you, please, add more documentation about your plugin. I'm very interested on it.

Excuse me the download link is working now. I'll try tonight with this solution even if I prefer others

Have you enabled the FLV1 format under "codecs" in ffdshow video decoder configuration?
