I uploaded a test disk of "Burn after reading" to FTP. Let me know, if you need anything changed for future test disks(file size, maybe in .ISO format etc.). For now, I just kept the original blu-ray disk folders. I cut each of the bigger files to 50MB and the "Svensk Filmindustri" logo sequence I left alone (about 54mb). I tested it with both PowerDVD (menu works) and Mediaportal (menu still doesn't work).

here is the log of Police - Cerifiable. As I saw by accident there is the menu shown in "window"-mode (home-screen) without background. In fullscreen I can only see a black display. Drive-LED is blinking, when I press enter, so it seems, that MP tries to start the movie

I cannot even start the cut sample of Police. Probably some required content is missing

    24-11-2011 08:53:37.806 [ 1754]Read failed...failure on libbluray side
24-11-2011 08:53:37.807 [ 1754]Read failed too many times... EOF or broken disc?

But based on your latest description it sounds like it could be the same issue with the initial menu that I'm seeing with Pearl Harbour & Alpha and Omega BDs. So, lets retest the Police once those two disks are working correctly in the initial menu.

ISOs are not needed (they create just extra work on both sides). Also cutting other than the main movie .m2ts file could lead into issues. For example if there are multiple trailers before the root menu lib or source filter could give up playing the disk since they are seeing corrupted content.

About the Burn After Reading - did you just get a menu background with no buttons and text "Burn After Reading"? If yes then I can reproduce the same issue - it is most likely bug in the libbluray (didn't yet check that closely). If it is then it is most likely same bug as causes no menu with Metallica and BBC's Planet Earth.

Confirmed to be same issue. If all goes like in movies it will be fixed in the next (v2) test installer.

There is no copy protection removal (and there wont ever be!) so you need to use some 3rd party software or just use self created home movie BDs.

There is no mpe1 (MediaPortal extension) provided, just a full installer. See more details in the few first posts in this thread.

Please remind that native blu-ray support is just in testing phase and it is not recommended to use it unless you are certain that you are able to cope the cases when the blu-ray playback just fails. As it will fail in many cases...

Joe B. is up. BDReader.log is included. During the upload the connection had been closed twice by the server. I opened it manually. Hopefully the transfered files are not corrupted.

It's good to hear that I was not the only one. I never got any menu screen with no buttons. I just had the last frame of the "Svensk Filmindustri"-video file on screen.

Hi tourettes, thanks for the great work. I have two questions:
    1) Is it supported by MovingPictures plugin?
    2) What renderer should I use? The screenshots you posted seems to run EVR CP in MPC-HC......
