:( is it planed to implement or isn't it possible?

    It requires that:

    1) libbluray starts to support 3D
    2) MediaPortal's video renderer starts to support 3D
    3) Video decoders (probably only LAV) would start to support 3D (Cyberlink etc. are using some own formats and we wont really want to start to guess what they use)
    4) BDReader (our own component) is extended to support 3D
    5) I or some other developer has access to 3D display :)

So, at least not in any near future there will be 3D support for the internal Blu-ray playback.

Ok- so another question - MP is able to play 3D mkv's without problems - if you rip your 3D Disk to normal side by side (and I guess that's what on the Bluray anyway) you can play it. So what special code is necessary to get the side by side picture from the disk? Or is it another format? When I now play a 3D disk I get a 2d Picture already (when I check the menu it's telling that the player does not support 3D) and afterwards I can't start it any more - but when I just put it in and play - fine - but only 2D ;). Ok - maybe I understand it wrong but I thought it's simply taking what's on the disk and send it to the TV and let the TV handle the combination of the left and right picture

    Your guess is wrong.

A 3D mkv is really just a normal 2D video with two video frames squeezed together. The result is a normal 1920 x 1080 video file.

A 3D Bluray consists of the normal 1920 x 1080 video for the left eye stored in .m2ts files plus one additional 1920 x 1080 video for the right eye stored in the ssf directory. If the player detects a compatible HDMI 1.4 display it can switch to Frame Packing mode (two frames top/bottom with 45 pixels between, 1920 x 2205). For this to work you need a new renderer and the other requirements in tourettes post above.
When you currently play a 3D Bluray in MP it just plays the .m2ts file, ignoring the ssf directory.

It could be, but in any case it is better to use MediaPortal 1.3.0 alpha for the testing as it includes other fixes as well (and in addition it has latest code for Blu-ray area).
