I have recently changed from Comcast to FIOS, only to find that we no longer have analog channels. It was a matter of time anyway.

So now I want to tune to the DTV channels that Verizon is supplying as Clear QAM channels, but just doing a scan reveals app. 500 channels that are scrambled, and sorting through them is just not possible (as so many others have reported). Using the "remove / delete Encrypted" does not work.

I am using the overview of clear QAM DTV signals from here: hdhomerun/channels - Silicondust
This should give me a list of available channels in my zip-code (Verizon may not transmit these, but then I should be able to get them using an DTV antenna)

My qustion is:

How do I manually tune to the sub channels?
Ie. I can add a channel in the TVserver config and enter the channelnumber, frequency and modulation. But how to I set it to the program number ie. the difference between channel 79 prog 2 and channel 79 prog 4. Is this what the major / minor setting is?

Is there anything else I need to set?

Setting a channel up manually gives me "Cannot start Graph" problems in mediaportal even though I can see it in the preview, but I think it is an XML problem as handled in another post.

I have the HVR-1800 hybrid card if it makes any difference, and am running a virgin 1.0 RC3 verison of Mediaportal & TVserver.

I have now tryed to install Hauppauge WinTV. It findes a number of QAM Channels in the range 2100 -3639.

How do I enter these channels into the TVserver, ie. what setting do I use to frequency, major, minor?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I second this question. When I scan with my HD Home Run several channels get detected as radio channels when they are really TV and if I could just enter the info from the Silicon Dust site would be awesome
