Ah... Harley is "back in black"!

I like colors used (inspired by PMIII?). On fist sight the screens seem a little chaotic. Maybe some parts are a little to big in comparison to others...? I'm not sure.
It's realy impressive to see how much work you put and have put into MP Harley. Respect!

The three row layout could work nicely.
rtv and Luv2Entertain (and others) have mentioned the three column layout for music that was used in medio. Three columns could easily be worked into these three rows if the underlying tech is there.
It would also be cool for picture folders; show three folders at a time, with the first four thumbnails shown across.

I like the layout of your proposed skin. The multi-segment TV display is an excellent method to maintain screen real estate. With the ability to have a background image for the segmented area, as per the home screen, as well as for the screen background itself, as per the background change, the proposed configurability should satisfy the B&W critics.
I especially like the elapsed time / total length time bar-graph display at the bottom of the music playing screen. Your screen layouts clearly show that you've given serious thought to the issues with existing skins.
If this becomes a Community Project, I'd be happy to contribute.

I'm not really sure how possible this is, maybe it needs a posting in the feature request forum, but...
Have you considered changing the picture on the bottom left depending on the media being played? When a video is forced to the bottom left it would display in the video camera screen, when music is bottom left the equalizer could display on the radio, tv could be on the laptop or a new tv icon.
Maybe this is impossible, maybe it's pointless, anyway I thought of it because of the icons to the bottom right. Just an idea for anyone.
