[NEW] MyFilms v4.7.9a (2 Viewers)

So what does MyFilms do? It would be great for new comers if the 1st post described the plugin and possibly included some pictures. I read through all 16 pages and found that there's been quite a few general queries about MyFilms that seem to all be ignored.

I guess if you don't want to broaden the user base and restrict it's use to the core long-term followers, it doesn't matter. But it's really hard to want to download and install this without first knowing what it does.

A link to a download page that included info on it would be just as good as well.

Just suggestions!

It's just the first time looking at myFilms. What I'm looking for: Is there a view where only the not viewed films are displayed? This would be much usefull for big collections.

1- Go to myfilms config, general tab and check "use checked field for launched movies"
2- Go to tab "optional1", and in supplementary view choose "checked" and in the next box enter "non viewed" (or whatever you wnat)
3- Inside MP, go to myfilms- change view, and press "non viewed"

I havent tested it, but I think it should work.

There are already 3 supplementaries views, not sufficient ?
Note that you can define a second config on the same database to extend the possibilities.

Unfortunately, not.
As there's no good plugin for music videos yet (mVids is still under development), I use my Films both for movies and live concerts/opera/ballet.
That's why I'd love to add Director and Actor for movies and Artist and Composer for music.

I know about several configs, but it's not that good, as I have to re-enter the plugin to change the config.

... the context can be changed inside the plugin with "changing views" & choosing "change Video-Config" - it's not necessary to completely quit the plugin.
(Not 100% sure about the wording, because I use german language)

I use Russian, but the name of the menu is slightly confusing.
My small daughter didn't like the idea
She doesn't understand the meaning of this menu "change video config"

1. Is it in plans that MyFilms could grab fanart automagically?
2. Is it possible to search fanart not only through displayed title (now I have polish titles, and fanart are alaways in english so I have to rename them) but also through oryfinal title?

I think it's the best plugin - better than moving pic Mainlly because it supports ant and ant has much scripts for grabbing movie info (I'm from Poland )

Also I noticed that when you move from a title with fanart, to one without the fanart image says on the last "loaded" fanart - shouldn't it change to the default background unless you check "use poster as fanart"?

Seen, I'll take a look on it for next version.
