You must put the pictures in the folder that you define in the MF config (see attached pic)
The name of the pictures must be the original/translated title (test with both)

That what i thought, but somehow it didn't work. I put all the files in one folder and put the name of that folder in Fan Art Picture path (IMG). COuld it be possible because all of my files are in JPG format?

Can you give me an example of non worjing :
movie name =
file picture name =
Setup given in the setup for pictures


Could you also try with the latest dll v4.7.8f. See previous post.

About the fanart feaure. Could it be possible for myFilms to look for a file "containing" the movie title and not "being name" as the movie title? That way we could share fanarts with MovingPictures. It would save hard disk space by not having duplicates.

Can you try with that dll... Not fully tested for fanart research but it'd search for thumbs containing name of Original or Translated titles.

hi, I got it to work finally. But the file names still have to be exact as orignal/translated titles otherwise it would show the first fanart for movies that don't have fanart

As others I can't see any display when opening MyFilms in MediaPortal. I made anything possible, but the screen remains desperately empty. I'm using the last version of the plugin and I have set all fields. The error logs says:

2008-11-23 08:14:59.681875 [ERROR][MPMain]: Exception: System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Boolean MediaPortal.Util.Thumbs.get_SpeedThumbsSmall()'.
at MesFilms.MesFilms.GetFilmList[T](T gSelItem)
at MesFilms.MesFilms.Fin_Charge_Init(Boolean LoadDfltSlct, Boolean reload)
at MesFilms.MesFilms.OnMessage(GUIMessage messageType)
at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIWindowManager.ActivateWindow(Int32 newWindowId, Boolean replaceWindow)

I attach both a copy of the config window and the file I'm using.

can you add your config file (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MyFilms.xml) ?
Another question : which MP version and skin do you use ?

Sorry, forgot to mention that. I use MP 0.2.3 with standard skin (BlueTwo I think it is called) both in 4:3 and widescreen format. Now, oddly enough, I can't find the file you are referring to. I search my whole hard disk and I couldn't locate a MyFilms.xml file. The folder you mention exists but is empty ???

Is it a file created by MediaPortal ?

Hi

MyFilms 4.7.9 don't work with any skin i have. Don´t display any list.
I reinstall everything but don't work. I did some tests too and the only version of MyFilms works is 4.5.
I have checked my DB movies on AMC and there are no errors, none incomplete titles or missing original tiles.
I´ve checked too others posts with the same problems and test others versions of 4.7.9 like a,b,c,f ...
This is really strange...
Can anyone help me please?

I really need a help too. Excuse me, but I´d tried a lot of times without being sucessfull. I have Xface as a skin and I´m using the last version of MyFilms. The error I get is this information which apears below left of the screen.

I am not really an expert so sorry if it is a kind of a simple question, but I gave up really. Do you think a downgrade of version could solve it ?

MyFilms v4.7.x works only with MP Greater than 1.0 so don't work with 0.2.3 !!!!!

Thanks zebons , now I understand why I could search for ages.... That's a pity because I don't want to migrate to MP 1.0 until a final release is available and the latest MyFilms plugin version has very cool features. I'll check out version 4.6.x if it works for me.

Anyway, bravo for the good work. The combination of MyFilms and AMC Updater is definitely a killer for movie management.
