Hi

I will continue to look into this though. Any way you could share how you used the us proxy for other UK users in the meantime? .

There are 2 ways of completing this sadly both come at an extra cost!! I use a VPN that has an exit point in texas. People can google "private vpn" or use a 3rd party app eg "Hide My IP". to spoof a US location

Also one other thing i've found is the audio renderer for the plugin uses the default sound card where my secondary monitor has its own build in renderer so if the end user could chose where to send the sound would be a good addition to the plugin.

Thank you for shedding more light on that and sharing the tips for getting around the issue.

Could you explain your setup a bit more.. Do you play the video on a second monitor that plays its own sound or do you have a second physical sound card? if its the first then it should be fixed in the next release when i add the ability to specify which display plays the video. If on the other hand you have a second sound card then I will have to look at ways to choose what sound card plays the audio Theoretically it should default to what ever sound card media portal is configured to use.

The 2nd monitor (TV) has its own sound device in the device manager so is is a second sound card. Yes MP uses the Secondary monitor for sound only the netflix plugin comes from default card

Ok so let me make sure I understand this correctly. You have 2 monitors. Media Portal plays video on one of them and sound on the second?

ok this is how it looks

1 Default sound for PC is Realtek High Definition Audio
2 Secondary Monitor (TV) is connected to NVIDIA High Definition Audio
MP uses NVIDIA High Definition Audio By Default however the new netflix plugin sound comes from Realtek High Definition Audio

hope that helps a little :)

Many Thanks

Ok just submitted a beta release to the extensions and awaiting aproval.
The tv shows now work.
Should be able to specify what monitor to start the player in. icam let me know if that fixes your sound issue if not Ill look into a couple other methods.
Ill post the link here as soon as it gets approved.

Update: Just got aproved. Can download it from here https://www.team-mediaportal.com/extensions/media-portal-netflix-plugin?lang=en

Awesome I'll try this now. I'm shocked that you roll up on the website and churn out a netflix plugin in days! If it's bug free, I'm sure many MePo users will find this useful.[DOUBLEPOST=1349679910][/DOUBLEPOST]OK I'm getting the following problem when I try and authorise:

Btw I'm using W7 Ultimate 64 bit. I've just seen that someone had the same problem earlier in the thread and that you thought it was a dll problem, which would be included in the fix. Does 64 bit need different dll maybe?

Apears to be a missing dll that should have been installed with internet explorer. Im trying to find a copy or figure out a way to generate one. In the mean time have you updated internet explorer to the latest version? the plugin useses it for both authorization and the player.

I doubt that I have - that PC is solely for use as a HTPC, so it rarely gets updated and Chrome is set as default browser. Having said that it will be updated occasioanlly and afaik Windows Update only uses IE so it is on there and working. I'll do a windows update now and see if that helps.
