Hi everyone,

we (azzuro, RickDB and me) have developed a new MPEI package to get your Ambilight working with MediaPortal quite easily!

Short description of the plugins...more will follow in an new Thread because the current one is a bit overloaded!

MPCoreChanger
Provides the core.dll files within the MPEI as soon as possible after a new MediaPortal version has been released!
It creates a backup of the current core.dll and installs the modified one! The MPCoreChanger will be downloaded by installing the AtmoLight plugin!

Atmolight plugin
You know this already but in this package there are the whole needed AtmoWin software included so you can get always the newest version within the MPEI!
It also supports the Extensions plugin for enabling the Atmolight configuration (not Atmowin at the moment ) inside the MP GUI!

Both plugins are now available in the plugin repository and can be downloaded an updated with the MPEI!!

Sadly Its not a real kit you have to build it by your own. We will provide further information in english soon.

i installed it and i do not have any atmolight live view

even after restoring all the old DLL's i don't have any lights.

is it perhaps the core.dll?

also, extention installer states there is an update, did you change the versioning?

anyway, thanks for the hard work team!

i manually moved the core_mod dll file from the plugin folder to the main folder and renamed it to core.dll.

now my atmolight is working!

perhaps this helps in troubleshooting?

The core.dll wasnt the problem! the modded atmowina.exe file which supports 256 channels has caused the stuttering. This version has some more changes inside that raises the amount of the processed data up to three times. If i use the modded atmowina.exe for 170 channels, everything is working fine.
Yes the versions has changed! old: 1.9.0.14, new 1.0.19014.1! it helps top indicate what part of the package we change.[DOUBLEPOST=1363207948][/DOUBLEPOST]I found another problem....if you uninstall the atmolight plugin after updating to MP 1.3.0 final, the uninstaller replaces the correct, not modded core.dll from the final with the unmodded file from the previous MP version!

Was the corechanger 1.0.0.1 installed before you updated MP and installed the atmolight Plugin?
