This sounds like a fantastic plug-in, and i really want it to work.

I have installed:
- Windows XP
- MediaPortal 1.0 RC3
- MyDreamDboxTV RC2
- VideoLAN External Player

When I click on the "My DreamDboxTV" button in MP i get this error msg:
The type initializer for 'MediaPortal.GUI.Mydbox.VideoLanControl' threw an exception.

I've added the logfile and I will be very greatful if someone could help me out here, please.

Has development on this plugin stopped? If so it would be great if the source code was shared, so myself and other can continue developing the plugin. Would really like to implement scheduled recordings etc.

well the development has not really been stopped, but after changing to RC3 I may need to check all plugins again. Right now I work on my streamradio plugin. The actual source code is in the SVN and I attached the attemp from KiaPiz to add scheduled recording. Since he tried that ( read the previous post ) I changed a lot in the plugin. It was my goal for the next release to review his changes to get the recording working too. Anyhow every help is appreciated.

Right now I will try to finish the streamradio plugin first.

btw the plugin uses the ActiveX component of vlc So during the install select "install activeX" or if you use the zip u need to rgister the dll manualy. If the activeX is not installed you get "class not installed". The plugin works only with vlc 0.8.6, best with the h version. So you need the
AxInterop.AXVLC.dll and Interop.AXVLC.dll in the root folder.
They should be installed with the mpi installer.

    Ola!

    tried your Plugin with RC4 and several D-Box Images - but only worked with an Neutrino Imgage - and there only for viewing. Record only produced an very danaged picture (same result with ngrab)

    Currently I'm using pb Image (the last one) - basically everyting works - but after a view seconsg the stream stopps - but during this time it's possible to record.

    So - do you have any recommandations which D-Box image to use to get all functions working?

    Hi Forum,

    thanks for the great Plugin. I have installed the Plugin and configured. The Box will accurate identified as a Enigma V1. The Bouget can be downloaded. But the Plugin does not started. I become a Popup Message with the following Error. Hresulte E_Fail has been returned from a call to a COM Component.

    Installed Windows XP SP3
    Mediportal Final 1.0.0

    I hope any User can help me. The Logifle has no errors.

    after vlc has been changed to a 0.9.x verion the active x part is not working anymore.

    Just now I work on a new solution using the new videolan plugin 0.9x instead of the activeX solution. The plugin is almost ready so I will only need a little bit more time.

    I post it here when its ready :)

    In th meantime you could use still the last version 0.8.6f,g or so. That should still work. Maybe you need to copy the skin files under b3 if you use 1.0.
