this seems to be the problem. I don't know where it comes from. It sounds like a wrong language setting or so.
You said it is only with some channels, maybe there are unexpected characters in the name of the channel.

just solved my problem, by formating my DM500 from Gemini to PLi image!!
It seems to be more stabble and better image quality.

Can anybody tell why i cant change channel with this plugin.
in te meny/bar to the left it work, but the "transpharent" meny in full screen i cant get to work???

if i press up or down the channel list is there and i can go to a channel name, but i can´t SELECT it ???

What key to press or is it something that iam missing in my setup ?

2. Is the EPG working now in this plugin, because i cant access th "tv Guide" it just "jump over when i try to select in the meny to lefy

i've just put my hands on a DM500-s, and i've found this plugin.
I installed it on my MP 1.0.1, configured it, got the channel list from the dream box, installed VLC.. but that's all

in my MP menu i can't find the DreamDboxTV plugin anywhere.
Any chance to get it working?
or anyone knows another working DBOX plugin?

Hi,

well I would say not 100%. But after changing to vlc 0.9.x I had a lot of problems regarding having a transparent osd like before. The result was a flickering osd. I know maybe with the osd like MPlayer it might be possible. But right now I'm working on the UPNP stuff.

Last week I got a DreamBox ( 5620 ) I could read all bouques etc. but I was not able to play any stream. I dont know why. I uses the Gemini 4.6 Image but it did not work. Now after flashing a pli image the box is dead. I need a serial cable to put it back to life ;-)

I have a couple of ideas, but not really enough time right now. So if there is somebody out there to do some stuff then let me know. Otherwise you maybe need to wait longer for an update.

i tried to use this plugin; configuring is okay - connection to my dreambox 8000 seems to work, the bouquets and channels are read to mediaportal

but when i start the plugin, after 2 or 3 seconds i'll get this an error.

can somebody help me?
maybe i have forgotten to install another required plugin.
VLC.086 is also installed..
