Hi Patrick,

I have a private version of this currently where some bugs are fixed and the D10-100 boxes work (finally). I'm porting it to the TV Server, but there should probably be one version. I'll post my changes when I get home.

Sounds great!

sending commands like 005402 and so are working, with numeric unchecked. Channel 9 works with numeric, 9-1 does not, but works again with numeric unchecked.
So, please don't change it again, lol.

Yes, Channels like 9-1 and 005402 will NOT work with numeric.
I should have been more specific, with numeric the entire
channel "string" is converted to a single number if possible, this
is the way the plugin was(is) set up.
The numeric conversion will not accept 9-1 b/c of the dash and 005402 will
be converted to 5402.
Using a string you can parse out the intended Major/Minor channels and
create the data needed to send to the STB.

Well, i love it, BUT...i can't write a plug in, LOL. Like i've said earlier, i could probably convert your dishwasher together with your refridge into a new flatscreen tv, but i can't write a program.

    Here are my successful results!

    http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/11894

If I selected the "Send Channel As Numeric" when entering in the channel number as 9-1, it obviously did not work. Each time I entered in a Test Channel number and clicked on Test, it changed the channel on my HTL-HD receiver VERY quickly and without error.

I'm excited where this could be going :)

I wouldn't say that, I can help with the plugin, but can't fix my flat screen LCD Monitor/TV that just died, SOL on my $800... ;)

Do you guys want me to make the changes to the plugin to use the channel string?
Do you want me to wait on diehard2 to post his changes/bug fixes?

I've uploaded the most recent versions to the svn

    http://mp-plugins.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/mp-plugins/trunk/plugins/DirectTv/

    Changelog:

D10-100 boxes now work for TVE 2 and TVE 3 (must choose "disable two way communication"
First release of DirecTVTune for the TV server
The serial interface has been integrated into the main dll (no longer 2 dlls)

Attached are the two version of the plugin. For consistency sake, and to benefit everyone, future changes should go through the svn. This way, we won't have 10 versions floating around.

    Hi Patrick,

as much as i can understand Diehards standpoint, i'll rather have two floating plugins, when at least one of 'em works.
After the installation of the new plugin, i've got an exception.

Patrick, if it isn't too much work, would you please go ahead with your plan? I think, you were on the right way.

Whoops, I should have mentioned that the plugin is for the latest svn's. I don't have a 0.2.2 here to link to. So, I guess there should be three versions.

    Spachti,

The point here is that anyone can now make a fix. Including patrick.

    @ Diehard,

no bad feelings, ok? You know, after all the frustrations, there was finally light at the end of the tunnel. Btw, i can't install any of the new SVN's, i've tried now 4 of 'em. All are not working, so i'm back to a pure 0.2.2 with no SVN's.
And Patricks stand alone program so far is working like a charm.
