    VLC Plugin not working?

    Hello,

which VLC Plugin Version is working?

I have latest Version 1.0.3 and the Plugin says in the error log window from firefox:
Warnung: reference to undefined property vlc.playlist
    Quelldatei: http://localhost/VLCFirefox.htm?url=idChannel=150,idProfile=0&media=
    Zeile: 24
    Fehler: vlc.playlist is undefined
    Quelldatei: http://localhost/VLCFirefox.htm?url=idChannel=150,idProfile=0&media=
    Zeile: 24

With Version 0.9.6 from VLC i see the blank VLC Plugin Window but with the latest 1.0.3 i see nothing. With Version 0.9.9 is the same error. What is wrong?

My System is Windows Vista 32bit with Firefox 3.5.5 an MP 1.0.4.24281

    Best regards
    Micha

My ultimate goal is to use this plug-in along with the Mediaprotal TV Server to feed into Tversity to enable me to stream live TV to DLNA compliant set top boxes. I am using an HDHomerun network tuner as my TV source and this seems to work fine (able to watch and change channels) in the main Mediaportal application.

I am having the following problems with the plug-in:

    1. If the tuner is not in use with another application, the first call from the web server to the tuner works fine. That is, I am able to watch live TV in my browser (Firefox) with the VLC plug-in. However, if I then attempt to change channels, I get an unable to start error message in the browser. If I go into the HDhomerun application, it appears that the tuner is still streaming the initial channel and I need to over ride this call to the tuner in order to release it. Thus, in short, the plug-in does not appear to release the tuner on either attempting to change channels or closing the browser where the stream is directed. Any suggestions?

    2. For on the fly transcoding for this application, what should the input and output settings be? Also, in what directory does the plug-in look for transcoding applications?

Great job on the plug-in and thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

    1) So far i only tested with the latest VLC Plugin which is 1.0.3 i think
    2) The difference between this plugin and the one from BIG_KEV is mainly that my plugin exposes Webservices to use MP databases and interface the TvServer from every programming or scripting language that supports SOAP. As often stated - the WebApplication was merely meant to be a demo app to show how to use these webservices and as the webservices are much more integrated (using .NET remoting natively) into TvServer it has more functionality than BIG_KEV's app

    Hi gemx,

1.) with this version 1.0.3 from vlc plugin i have this error. For this reason i have test with older version. Can you give me a test URL who can i test a static version (play a video or something) to test my vlc plugin? i'm confusing about this? is this a winxp vs. vista problem? I will check it later, or ist this only a problem with view tv/radio? I don't test with movies or music.
    2.) thank you

    UPDATE
The VLC Plugin is not working in my Vista but in my Win 2000 is the same Plugin workin now (both is VLC 1.0.3 and FF 3.5). Any Idea? Can anybody confirm or not confirm?

Is noone else having the "The column notify in table Program does not exist." error when clicking on TV in the WebGUI? What MediaPortal /TvServer version (exact svn) are you using? When was the database scheme changed? I could add this column, but what type is it and will that destroy anything else?

If you read like 3 posts up, you'll see that me and one other also have this problem. GemX probably need to update some file. Its over my head so can't help you.

    Hello,

i think you must copy the TV*.dll Files from MediaPortal Directory to MPWebServices\htdocs\Bin\ .
    Backup the old files first.

When my VLC will work i can now test this at home later.

    Best regards
