This is what I get in my log when I try to transcode with the DivX 320x200 settings. It seems that there is some problem with the audio. It stops TimeShifting. Direct streaming is no problem. The mencoder.exe is in htdocs\bin\mencoder folder.

Can someone please help me?

I installed as per instructions (sort of - I had to manually copy the files because W7 didn't like RAR copying them into "Program Files") into the 24/12/2009 SVN and I'm now trying to connect to it from a client PC by going to http:\\192.168.1.101:8080 without success.

I didn't alter any of the settings.
Both server and client are vanilla W7 Ultimate installs with very little other than MP & TVserver installed
I didn't install anything extra (I'm assuming .net35 is part of W7 - although I did subsequently try installing dotNetFx35setup.exe - no change )
I did turn off the firewall just in case this was causing problems

Does IIS (or similar) need to be installed/configured?

The new version is nearly finished.

It features:
- help file for configuration
- msi setup (MPEI 1 is not able to install tv server plugins)
- tv/radio logo support
- password protected access to streamer.aspx
- logging for the streamer class
....

Just needs some polishing, so please be pationt

i just reinstalled mp 1.1 with actual svn. i am using a centralized db for my pictures in a network share which i have configured in your plugin-settings. all is working fine exept the thumbnails of the pictures are not found. if ii click on one the picture opens, but for all pictures the thumbs are missing. where can i configure the path to the thumb folder?

Off topic a bit - I thought you couldn't use a centralised db for pictures/music/movies because the file db could not handle multi access plus updates. Has this been improved in 1.1?

Nope-that's not a problem.

You can just point a new web app in IIS to the htdocs dir. That's all.

The only thing you loose is the config tool - so you have to edit config.xml yourself.

HI GEMX! Thank you for the plugin! I switched over to mythtv 2 years ago because a plugin like this did not exist (mythstreamtv in myth) and I hope this plugin can get me back to mediaportal.

My Goal - stream tv to my mobile running iPhone, windows mobile 6.5, etc

The thing preventing me from this goal is the use of the .bat file to launch the stream on the local device.

I am using VLC to transcode video. and am able to stream just fine from a pc. the problem is that mobiles (and any non windows OS) do not recognize bat files, so I can not use this plugin. This seems to have surfaced a few times in this thread (post 147, 183)

I would love to see an option in the player type for "manual" where if selected, when you click on the play link in a web browser, the stream kicks off automatically on the MP pc. This of course means that I will have to manually select the stream in my playing device, but if the stream url is ALWAYS "http://hostnameort" , this is not a big deal.

perhaps this is possible with the current version. I have read the entire thread and still do not understand the "input method" and "output method" fields in the transcoder tab. either way an explanation of these 2 fields is appreciated.

i have setup 1.1 beta tve on my whs only the server part
than i have gemx web if added

so far so good

now some things

1. in the web if tv can only select the 3 standards profiles
ok but i have one created in the tve server config
the custom Profile looks like
Name = Rtsp
Transcode = Selected
Transcoder = Empty
Params = Empty
Input = Standard in
Output = Standard out

now i open the webif and the profile isnt show
so i gone into the tve config and will restart the tvservice but i cant change the ui from the Plugin Section to ManualControl
section an the left hand change but the sectionpanel will not change

Update
the custom profile will not save in the config file
