Sorry but your installation is completly messed up :(

You have files in %ProgramFiles% that are removed from svn since very long time, like:
    2007-11-09 07:51 32ÿ768 SG_VFDv5.dll
    ...
    2010-04-21 18:10 <REP> Tuningparameters
    ...
    2010-04-21 18:10 <REP> WebEPG
    2009-05-08 18:35 61ÿ440 WebEPG.dll
    ...
    2008-12-24 23:38 32ÿ768 FolderDatabase3.db3
    2008-05-01 13:53 204ÿ800 MusicDatabaseV10.db3
    2008-10-30 12:56 24ÿ576 PictureDatabase.db3
    2008-12-24 23:38 81ÿ920 ProgramDatabaseV4.db3
    2008-12-24 23:40 114ÿ688 RadioDatabase4.db3
    2008-12-24 23:40 188ÿ416 TVDatabaseV21.db3
    2008-12-24 23:38 42ÿ778ÿ624 VideoDatabaseV5.db3
    7 fichier(s) 43ÿ425ÿ792 octets

and you have different builds (check build date) of basic dlls, like:

    2009-05-08 18:35 471ÿ040 TVCapture.dll
    2010-04-13 10:24 53ÿ248 TvControl.dll
    ...

Please do a complete uninstall -> reboot -> check for any leftover -> reboot -> install clean RC2.

    Simone

EDIT: search forum for my cleanup vbs script: it will take also care of VirtualStore ;)

hi, I did a full uninstall, I think the files comes from the database backup extension

is there a way to only backup the video database and the thumbnails? if I choose only database, input device mapping (remote?) and thumbs will it keep other unwanted files?

The rest isn't very important but that database I redid it twice and it takes about 3 days....

as it needs a bit of practice to do it right, I would like you to install MP in a very clean way. No restore and no additional plugins to start with.

You can always copy all the directory in a safe place before uninstalling. I'll explain later how to get what you need out of it.
(What you need to save is under %APPDATA%\Team MediaPortal, not in program files...)

okay, i'm backing up what is in programdata\mediaportal, and after doing a full mediaportal products cleanup

    done, reinstall now

    done, no errors

problems seems all gone, do I need to transfer the thumbs and the video database or is there another way?
