I also had problems with merging SVTB+Kunskapskanalen. I "solved" it by letting WebEPG only grab SVTB from svt_se.xml. The merged channel seemed to work in the latest SVN but I reverted back to BETA1 due to problems with livetv inside MP.

Since I use Boxer some of the channelnames are different. That is fairly easy to solve by simply renaming channels but still annoying, but from what I guess handling of all sorts of "SVT1 Östnytt" and "SVT1 Tvärsnytt" and "SVT1 FOO" is difficult. There is no regexp method for channel mapping, ie "SVT .*"?

    There should be no problem merging SVTB+Kunskapskanalen. You don't need to rename the channels. Just be sure to map them correctly. Check out the screenshot to see what it should look like.

    Also check the TVGuide.xml when it's ready to see if the information is there. Here's an excerpt from my xml file which shows programs from both channels:
    Code:
      <programme start="20091026055500 +0200" stop="20091026060000 +0200" channel="SVT Barn&amp;Kunskap-[Merged]">
        <title>Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto!</title>
        <desc>Prisbelönt tecknad serie från Storbritannien. Yoko är en fågel, ...</desc>
      </programme>
      <programme start="20091012200000 +0200" channel="SVT Barn&amp;Kunskap-[Merged]">
        <title>Tema: Tornedalingar</title>
        <desc>Tycker Mikael Niemi om kaffeost? Gör Tornedalen Markus Fagervall till ...</desc>
      </programme>
    I'm using For the Record though and haven't tried MediaPortal's importer but there should be no difference.

    I wonder if there is a problem with the importer in the TV Server. I have set things up exactly the way described in this thread, including merge times for "Barnkanalen" and "Kunskapskanalen" and the data is found in tvguide.xml. For some reason, however, the TV Guide on my client still says "No guide data" on that merged channel. If I do these channels separately the have data. All the other channels work perfectly. I don't think I have got any merged channel data to work since v 1.02 or so, I am now on 1.1.0 Beta.

    You're right. I just tried TV-server with the latest SVN (23831) and only the first of the two merged channels gets loaded.

    As a workaround I activated the XmlTv plugin, changed WebEPG to grab to "tvguide.xml file configured in XmlTv Importer plugin" and added Xmltv.dtd to the same folder. After importing using the XmlTv plugin both channel works (also seems to fix the previously imported WebEPG data written to "TV Server database"?!).

    Interesting, I'll give that a try. For me, however, none of the two merged channels are visible in the TV Guide through WebEPG.

    I can confirm that importing the same tvguide.xml with the XMLTV plugin works! All channel data, including merged channels, are now visible on the TV Client. Thanks for the tip!
