Hello,

If got some Problem with the Tool. I used it with MP 1.1.3 without a Problem but no with 1.2 RC it will not work. I think I allready found the Problem but i found no solution for it. Im using the web epg Plugin in the TV-Server, and now the name of the Episoden are like this

The Big Bang Theory - Mädels an der Bar (The Maternal Congruence)

So the german Title and in brackets the English title and so in the Log file i allways get this:

nearest fuzzy found: Name: Mädels an der Bar Dist: 26 S3E11
[Mon Aug 29 23:00:09 2011] found series but not episode "Mädels an der Bar (The Maternal Congruence)" at Wunschliste
[Mon Aug 29 23:00:09 2011] search on Online TV Database - An open directory of television shows for HTPC software Language: de...
[Mon Aug 29 23:00:21 2011] nearest fuzzy found: Name: Mädels an der Bar Dist: 28 S3E11
[Mon Aug 29 23:00:21 2011] search on Online TV Database - An open directory of television shows for HTPC software Language: en...
[Mon Aug 29 23:00:42 2011] nearest fuzzy found: Name: The Maternal Congruence Dist: 20 S3E11
[Mon Aug 29 23:00:42 2011] NOTHING FOUND => The Big Bang Theory Mädels an der Bar (The Maternal Congruence)

Is there any possiblity to solve it. Perhaps with an other Web.Epg or an Entry in the Config.txt?

This format "The Big Bang Theory - Mädels an der Bar (The Maternal Congruence) " never worked with episodescanner. You need only the german title.

I know that this would not work but is there any solution? What type of epg source do you use?

I'm using mc2xml here in the US along with the xmltv plug-in that MP includes in the TV-Server, along with episodescanner and some custom modifications in my .bat file to rename a couple of shows to what mytvdb calls them.

I have been looking through this thread for a while and I have a couple of questions.

I like in the UK and use RadioTimes EPG grabbed using XMLTV GUI. This EPG does not download the episode and series data itself, so if I were to use your programme would it work (and how would it work)?

Hi guys. Two minutes ago I've uploaded a small tool to prevent this problem from happening by deleting the text in brackets from the database and running the run_once script afterwards. I hope it helps.

Hello it is possible that you can add the Plugin to Mediaportal Download Section ? So we can install it direct with Mediaportal and see if an update is availlabe ? This would be very nice
