unninstall PDVD codec and all other shit. just install haali and arcsoft for SD and HD from HDPACK 2.2. all working with arcsoft codec. even 1080i.

Tried downloading HD PACK 2.2 from here DVB Support Download Center » Codecs » HD Pack 2.2 - As I alread have Haali Media Splitter, I just decided to install the arcsoft codec, however... it doesn't really make a differente, cpu load on my Atom 330 is 4x100% and the stuttering is as bad as always :( Also, I can't seem to find anywhere to configure the codec?

Cheers

/Christian

pdvd may have messed up your codec configuration. i had this issue, merits were messed up and VMR9 was chosen instead of EVR although i had set EVR as renderer in MP config. only clean reinstall helped. haali + arcsoft + ffdshow for audio is all i need now.

Well I played my first Blu-ray disc on my Asrock ION330-BD, it's the Asrock version with a Blu-ray combo drive in it. I use Arcsoft player with the Plugin to make it run from MP, it works like a charm and 100% smooth playback on two different movies that both have 1920x1080 resolution and one disc has DTS-HD and the other DD TrueHD. I now have everything running smooth fast and responsive with MP 1.0.2 and StreamedMP 0.8.448, SAF codec pack and Acrsoft plugin. The slow menu problems with the latest SVN and StreamedMP is being discussed here, but if you install MP 1.0.2 and StreamedMP 0.8.448 then you will not have slow plugin switching (slow menu's).

Can Arcsoft TMT also be used for normal DVD playback? I don't have any BluRay disc to try out yet, but after installing Arcsoft TMT Gold Trial + plugin, I still have the problem that MP freezes when attempting to play a DVD. From what I gather from other forum threads, this might be an issue with MP and Win 7 which is yet to be resolved, but I could be mistaking...

OK... don't really know what to do about the mpeg2 HD streams, cpu load for SD channels are about 5-10%, where as 1080i is 100%, so hardware acceleration for MPEG2 HD is definitely not working for me, maybe the streams aren't HW decodeable? is there any way to check this?

I haven't tried using Arcsoft for DVD playback, but it should be able to do it. I use the DVD playback of MP itself and it works perfectly.

How strange. You have Win 7 Ultimate and I have Win 7 HP on the same hardware. I can play the DVD's in WMP, but not with any player I tried in MP. Which settings are you using in the DVD section of MP config? Have you disabled Windows autoplay action?

Do you happen to have AnyDVD installed on your system? It was suggested in this thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...sue-dvd-playback-70156/index5.html#post527295 that this was the solution.

I have DVD set as follows:

DVD Video: PowerDVD9 Codec latest version (was installed with UNLOCKED SAF 4.00 beta19)
Audio: ffdshow (was installed with UNLOCKED SAF 4.00 beta19)
AC3 checkbox is not checked as I use ffdshow to passthrough on SPDIF.

I have autoplay disabled in Windows 7 and don't have AnyDVD HD installed yet for testing purposes. I did read in the changelog for the newest release that previous version of AnyDVD caused issue with autoplay and DVD. Have a look on Slysofts website and see if you maybe have that version running. You can also try running without it.

And you are using the built-in DVD Navigator in MP?

I still can't figure this out. If I use your codec setup, it doesn't work. Wonder if the PowerDVD9 version I have (from CLVDPack150709) differ from the one included in SAF. Could there be some audio setting in ffdshow that makes a difference? Installing AnyDVD as in the above mentioned thread did cure the problem, but I don't know why. Also the software is not free, licence starts at EUR41 depending on version and subscription time.

Yes this setup works with the DVD Navigator of MP itself and I don't have AnyDVD HD installed atm. I to use a trial version of AnyDVD HD and don't really know if it's worth the amount of money they ask, personally I think they are extremly expensive.

The PowerDVD9 version in the UNLOCKED SAF packs is newer then the one you can extract from the PowerDVD9 Trial. So try the UNLOCKED version of SAF and then use version 4.00 beta19. To get it UNLOCKED you need to PM Hoborg. Also be sure to install all codecs and codec packs as administrator.

    Hi all,

    1. I read that some of you are using a external DVB-S2 Box.
But which DVB-S2 box do you use? And do you have any problems with them?

    2. Did you manage to wake on the ION with your remote from standby and Hibernation?
