Newbie Question about Skins (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Bit of a silly question.


I am currently using StreamedMP. Latest version installed yesterday.

As i used MP-TVSeries, i downloaded the appropriate files from here:

StreamedMP v0.8 and MP-TVSeries 2.3 (Stable)

And installed them.


Now i am wanting to install online videos, so i think i need to firstly install online videos, then download.

StreamedMP skin for OnlineVideos plugin

However,

When i install this streamedmp skin for online videos plugin, doe that wreck the previously installed skin for mp-tv series?


Or does it only effect stuff in the online videos section of MP?

Sorry if its a silly question, ive only been using MP for 2 days.

I dont have the answer to your question becuase I dont have the plugin you are talking about.

Howerver, Media Portal is very flexible to deal with and most of the time intuitive. So, you can always try and experiment. All you have to do is install the plugin you want. But before you install XML files to your StreamedMP.. Take a backup of your StreamedMP folder in the skins folder...

C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\Media Portal\Skins\StreamedMP

Just copy the folder to a safe location and then install xml files of whatever to your streamedMP folder. Clear cache by going to

C:\Program Data\Team MediaPortal\Cache\

Delete StreamedMP folder

And start Media Portal.. Changes will take effect after you have cleared cache.

Just remember to clear cache after any changes you do to the skin files.
