No Audio (even menu audio) although windows, MCE etc all are ok (1 Viewer)

Yipeee !!! The sound came back!!

I just uninstall the Realtek Driver, reboot, reinstall it and reboot.

had the same problem and it was driving me crazy - I had made a couple small changes the night before so I thought that was it - reconfigured audio 8 million different ways to no avail - thank you thank you - just uninstalled the realtek driver from device mangler and then scanned for h/w changes and let it reinstall (no reboots) - works again!

Start MP in Windowed mode (alt-enter), Vista sound icon in systray, check MP is not muted, happens all the time.

This is an old threat, but thanks a lot, i have looking for this for a few days.
