Strange problem... and I still cannot figure it out... I have the tv server set up on my media center server and can watch channels that are not HD with no problem... audio/video work great. When I try to watch any channel that is HD, I get the picture no problem but no Audio. I manually timeshifted some HD content and opened up the file in VLC player on 3 computers and checked for an audio stream, but VLC didnt detect any audio stream.

I then timeshifted some SD video and opened it up and there was audio...

Has anyone else encountered this? The TV server works pretty good but I just cant figure out for the life of me why there is audio on all channels but HD... and only video on these channels.

I have the exact same problem!
MyTheatre: HD channels work like a charm
TvServer: HD channels -> no audio
PureVideo audio tab report no audio in the stream
I've open the timeshiftBuffer.ts with VLC and no audio is reported
I've manualy entered the audioPid(from MT) in the database without success
SD channels work perfectly

Seems the TVServer doesn't grab the AC3 audio stream.

Let me know if you find the problem...

We must be the only two watching HD in NA... and we are experiencing the same issue... I tested HD in MT and it works well...

Even though it is still beta and has its issues, the potential and great features of Media Portal and the TV Server have made me into a loyal follower... Also, I would rather use MP and the TV server to reduce the overall cost of my media center PCs (and electricity) since I wont have to have all of the computers running each night to grab the program guides and to record my shows...

Its also nice to have an all-in-one app instead of having to use plugins to launch MT and hope that it doesn't conflict with MP (which it does frequently).

Hopefully someone with a bit of programming knowledge will run into this issue and can find out what is happening.

There are in fact 3 of us in all of NA trying to watch HD on dvb-s with MP. I've been trying to find others for the past few weeks. :)

Fellas, take a look at this. There hasn't been any fix for it yet.

Perhaps this is related but I think it is a different issue. You are getting intermittent audio and video and different results on local client/server and remote client.

Our issue seems to be that MP isn't sending the proper AC3 pid info. I did make a post a while ago here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/no_audio_ac3_hd_channels_bev_82w-t21789.html

I have tried everything you guys have tried as well with the same results.

Just to know!
What kind of switch do you use (for 82 and 91)?
I use a 22khz switch (that MP doesn't support) but I'm working on a solution..

I'm using a DP44 switch. Port1=119, Port2=110, Port3=91, Port4=82

Everything works great (HD and Standard) when using MyTheatre... so I know it isn't bad hardware that is causing the no Audio issue on HD channels.

It is probably very difficult for the programmers of the TV Server to duplicate this issue because they are probably not testing on the BEV 82 Sat... so I am not expecting any results any time soon on this issue... it is disappointing... but I just have to use MyTheatre on any computer that I want to watch an HD Channel on... which ruins the purpose of the TV Server... But I still use the TV Server for all other channels.

Can someone please post their switch settings & other parameters.

I have a dp44 which works with mytheatre. However, when I scan the transponders on the TV server, it does not detect any channels. I am assuming that my scan parameters or the transponder ini file is not correctly setup.

My LNBs are currently pointing to 110, 119, 121, and 129. (I know that I won't get HD). Also, I am using TwinHan 102G with BDA drivers.

I would greatly appreciate if someone can post a screenshot of their settings and the transponder files. .:D

Dont know if the Twinhan 102G works with the TV Server... I used to use that card but switched to the Hauppauge Nova-S Plus which works better.

First: make sure your transponder ini files are converted to be dishpro compatible (all verticals, no horizontals).

Second: in the tv server under General Settings, change the PMT to 30 and the SDT/VCT to 60 (scans will take a long time... but it is worth the wait).

Third: set your DiSEqC ports for each Sat and change the band for each to NA Legacy... now set your Sats. Checkmark the Override box below and make sure the following are set properly: LNB Low = 11250, LNB High = 11250, and LNB Switch = 0

That should get your channels scanning... this is the easy part... good luck trying to watch the channels :) It can be a pain the a$$ getting this to work properly... but when it is done, it is well worth the trouble.
