No audio when playing recordings from network share (1 Viewer)

1. TV Card: Hauppauge 150 MCE
Remote: BTC9019URF
TV: Sony Wega Widescreen
TV - HTPC Connection: SVHS

When streaming a tvserver recording with the tv client the audio plays fine. But when i try to play the recording from the "my movies" plugin (from a network share) there is no audio.

For TV and "My Movies" i use the fdd audio filter, so there is no difference??! Also swithing to the powerdvd audio decoder doesnt work.

Anyone have these issues also (or has a solution to this problem)

I also discovered that when i use the internal mpa mpeg decoder no navigation is possible with live tv and when streaming a recording. When i installed powerdvd7 all the navigation issues dissapeard. Also everything seems to "feel" a lot more stable with the powerdvd codecs..

Replying to myself:

Problem partially solved:

watching a recording from a network share using in "my movies" works, when i use the dscaler video/audio decoder. When I enter "My TV" and select a recording the screen turns to black, and nothing happens. (it doesnt hang, esc returns me to the "My TV" screen.

So:

Using embedded: Dscaler audio/video codec.
Also: Klite standard version codec pack

1. Streaming Live TV (OK)
2. Streaming a Recording (Not OK) no audio and video
3. Playing a recording from the network (OK)

Has anyone any idea why i get a black screen when streaming a recording??

Similar issues here. I'm running XP on two boxes. The server hosts a vbox 3560. The client is a fresh install of XP. Watching TV is fine, but the recordings have no sound. I have tried mpeg and .TS. I'm new to MP, so I will screw around with it a little more. What logs are helpful?

Assuming that you mean playing the recording back with an external player or using the "my movies"section instead of streaming.

I solved that part of the problem by setting the audio codec to the embedded Dscaler codec.. Did you try that??

On my laptop i have the exact same issue. I can see that the server is streaming, also the laptop is receiving the stream (network activity). MP is only showing a black screen and no audio.

No commercial mpeg2 codecs. just selected dscaler audio and video decoder. For xvid/divx i installed Klite codecpack 2.82.
