Hey,

This is another problem I have. The TV server (and client) work fine on the Server Side. But when i try to display tv channels on a Client PC (connected in the network). Nothing happens. My network operates at 40 Mbps. Is this bitrate sufficient ?

I run a log, the error file says:
2008-04-18 22:14:12.453125 [ERROR][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer:exception while creating DShow graph Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at DirectShowLib.IGraphBuilder.Render(IPin ppinOut)

    I am also experiencing no playback on a remote TVClient.

    MediaPortal_0.2.3.0_Setup
    MediaPortal-svn--04-08-2008--05-05-Rev18584

    I've run the attached script to register tsreader.ax.

    The error log still states:

    2008-04-19 11:47:12.077591 [ERROR][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer:exception while creating DShow graph Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at DirectShowLib.IGraphBuilder.Render(IPin ppinOut)

    2008-04-19 11:47:12.078591 [ERROR][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer:GetInterfaces() failed

    Please advise.

    Hi infinityloop,

    I run the "register_tsreader.bat".
    But problem still exists. (screen on pc client shows no tv channel, the red button remains inactive)

    did the filter register? you should have seen a pop up which says "registered" or "failed to register".
    please try to install vc++ redistri. manually and re-register the tsreader.ax after that.

    :D

    - Register did succeed (pop up said "registered")
    - uninstalled the vc++ redistributable
    - then reinstalled the vc++ redistributable (from your link)
    - re-register the tsreader.ax after that

    But the problem remains.

    Included are the log files

    Hi,
    On trouble client, enable in MediaPortal Configuration -> General -> Log verbosity to debug(will give some more information) & then start MP again try to watch a channel & attach the logs again.

    Hi,
    Try to open MediaPortal Configuration -> Television -> TV Client & make sure all codecs are selected & then click ok & test again.
    I miss some add filter in your log...

    Regards
    Roy
