Firstly, I don't have the logs at hand at present as I was forced back to an older MCE image for this week's recordings. I will update this weekend if necessary. I have also tried for searches & read the appropriate WIKI.

My issue is I do not have any video or sound when attempting to playback LiveTV. I also cannot update my EPG (XMLTVNZ ver. 2.5.0.2) grabbed via a batch file. But I may not have set it up correctly after reading thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/xml_tv_guide_file-t24537.html

I have installed TV3 server & client plugin on my system: a single-seat type at present, until I get it functioning properly. Then I will upgrade to TV server/client with 1x remote client in bedroom. The MCE shell has not been configured. I have installed, as close as possible, to the 5x install & configure videos. I have organised my TV channels to my preferences in the TV server config. I can preview the channels.

Everything appears correct. I can obtain a successful connection of my database remote connection. I can save a manual record from within the TV server config & play it back with both sound & vision.

When entering Mediaportal's configuration: I never had any TV tuner cards present under 'Television>Capture Cards' (as described in video no. 4 @ 3min 40sec) The install differs from 4min 50sec as there is no longer a 'group' button, but am unable to get any channels tuned within the Mediaportal shell.

Under 'My TV' I have no listed active streams under 'TV-streams' & no shown recordings in 'Recorder TV', even though they are there.

Question: if I setup EPG correctly in TV server config. should this then show grabbed programmes' listings & channels inside Mediaportal shell? Or am I missing something?

Are there any answers as I need this server app if I am to continue using this excellent programme. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

"I never had any TV tuner cards present under 'Television>Capture Cards' "

If you use TV3 you dont have any card in MP Setup - cause the card is use by the TV Server.

    regards,
    Erbsenkopp

Thanks. That's the point. According to the video, there should be TV tuner cards present after Mediaportal's initial installation which you remove so the TV server can connect to the tuner cards. I never had them present

Here's the logs I promised. I hope someone who understands software can work out what the issue is. I'm getting tired changing images constantly :(

Looks like I may have uploaded incorrect logs. Try these.
