Error description
  1. start setup mediaportal
  2. go to television > capture cards
  3. select SkyStar 2 > Edit
  4. go to autotune
  5. enter for LNB#1 DISEqC: Level 1 B/A, LNB: Ku-Band, Tone: <empty>, Satellite: Eutelsat Hotbird 1-6
  6. enable LNB#2
  7. enter for LNB#2 DISEqC: Level 1 A/A, LNB: Ku-Band, Tone: <empty>, Satellite: Sirius 2/3 & Astra 1A
  8. click scan and wait till scanning ends
  9. click OK
All LNB1 channels are added, none of LNB2. LNB2 is not even scanned.

Note: that happens only if LNB1 has been preselected with an external program beforehand (i.e. Setup4PC). If LNB2 has been preselected, MP config scans LNB2 channels only.

By running setup several times (with the different LNBs preselected) one can manage to scan both LNBs. However, MP myTV will show video+audio of the "currently active" LNB only. The other channels will display a blank screen (or "no signal detected" in full screen).

Tone setting must NOT be empty!

    use 22KHz.

during the scan please have a look at the setup4pc application and check if MediaPortal is sending the correct diseqc setting.

infinityloop is right, you must select 22KHz, otherwise it will not work.

    But:

I have Astra 19.2e and Hotbird here.
Astra Transponders are scanned, Hotbird is not scanned. It seems like LNB Setup is ignored.

I've tried with and without the tone specified. The result is the same - one LNB gets channels, another one - not. BTW, the log shows that 22KHz is used even if I select no tone.

infinityloop: I'm going to check RC1 tonight.

Just checked 0.2.0.0 RC1. Setup successfully scans both LNBs (tone 22KHz selected). The log is attached. MP shows all channels from both LNBs.

In RC4 LNB switching has been broken

OK. I've taken mediaportal-svn-06-22-2006--16-09.rar and tested it. The LNB switching now works both in setup and MP. Well done guys!

I must say that this time I had to change Audio codec to DScaler because some channels (not all, just a few) did not utter any sound.

But further scanning made me a bit confused. I use 2 freqs on Sirius (LNB1: A/A) and 2 freqs on Hotbird (LNB2: B/A). In order to speed up the scanning process I've edited the corresponding tpl-files. Now setup scans LNB1 - both freqs are scanned correctly. LNB2 scan starts: instead of my 1st freq 11034V (stated in tpl-file) I get channels from 11881H (same sat though). 2nd freq 12597V scans correctly.

I exchanged the freq rows in the tpl-file (LNB2) and repeated. Now I get channels from 11881H (instead of 12597V) and from 11034V (correct).

Funny bug. But why 11881 guys? ;)

    The log is attached.

Should I check the latest svn? Or should I start a new thread?
