I ripped a lot of my DVD's to mkv, and I also included the subtitels in srt format.
For me, it works nicely when using the MPC-HC subtitleengine.

Do I need to have installed something special to use the MPC-HC SubtitleEngine?
Some kind of special codec or somthing like this?
No matter what file i try no subs are being displayed :-( but DirectVobSub shows them :-(

You just need to select it - thats the beauty of this feature - no additional stuff required.
But I have no clue why it fails for your mkv's

    Hi,

I was able to locate the problem. the prob is my audio renderer ReClock.
When disabling reclock the MPC-HC SubtitleEngine works as designed.
But i think ReClock is more important than the OSD in myTV :-(

So I think i'll keep using directvobsub and reclock, maybe this will be fixed in an future version :)
