    TV server:
    MediaPortal Version: 1.2.2.0
    Windows Version: Win XP SP3
    CPU Type: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
    Memory: 2x Corsair CM2X1024-6400C4 + 1x Kingston 2G-UDIMM
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H
    1. TV Card: TechnoTrend S2-3200 HDTV-S2 CI
    1. TV Card Type: DVB-S2
    1. TV Card Driver: 5.0.1.8
    Satelite/CableTV Provider: Astra 19.2°E

I suddenly get "No PMT received" on all encrypted channels. After trying out the unencrypted channels, which worked, I tried the encrypted channels again and then I get "unable to start/create graph" (all via Manual control in SetupTV), though the tv.log also still says "No PMT received, timeshifting failed". Increasing the PMT timeout value to 20 did not help (and it worked before with the default value anyway. PMT was always received within a second).

Restarting the computer did help though, for the moment at least... but why could this be happening?

    Hi Spooky

It is likely to be a CAM issue - I see the CAM state changing for no reason several times on Tuesday morning. I have seen this sometimes with the the S2-3200, especially if I remove the CAM and then reinsert it without restarting TV Server. What happens if you try restarting the TV service?

    Hi again

    That would be great. :D

You may be interested to know that I've been working on refactoring the TechnoTrend code over the last week or so. I remembered your thread from -->here<-- and I wondered if you ever experience that issue still? I was able to reproduce that error by removing my smartcard without removing the CAM. The problem persisted even after reinserting the smartcard until I restarted TV Server. I did some experimentation and was able to find a way to work around the problem. All that is to say two things:

    1. I don't forget about problems completely even if it seems like I have abandoned them. I'm conscious that you have raised quite a few very valid problems with TV Server that I have responded to over the past 6 - 12 months. It may not seem like anything has come from them right now but please believe me when I say *thank you* for continuing to raise the issues and I am actively working to improve the things that I can change.

    2. If you are still experiencing that issue then I may be able to provide a patch that you could test.

    Best regards,
    mm

Oh thx. But I don't think I ever experienced it again, after buying the new CAM module :).
